To be fair, as Eddie said in his newspaper column - all the other suber-bantams in the world are running scared of Quigg.

Hopefully someone from GBP says why the Quigg v Santa Cruz fight didn't happen on the Floyd card.

Jamoye was destroyed by Yamanaka , 4 knockdowns and a 9th round KO.
That was only 4 months ago, and he's had one easy fight since, now Jamoye is stepping up a weight division and taking on another sharp punching boxer. This won't go 7 rounds. Maybe over early.

I liked Jamoye when he beat Haskins, but once up to world class he didn't have a good enough defense.

Jamoye would be a decent late replacement if Quigg was a BW but how many Bantamweights can Quigg defend his Super Bantamweight belt against?


Jamoye just fought Yamanaka for the WBC down at BW so along with McDonnell and Haskins has been mixing it with decent company but as far as being a SBW contest,i dont think Jamoye is big enough to hang in there with a puncher like Quigg

Ok, maybe I was getting a bit carried away there, but it's a better replacement than I was expecting.

Quigg still seems very fragile unless beating up much smaller men, he's a good way off genuine world level despite his trinket.

Just watched Jamoye v Yamanaka and Jamoye was absolutely leathered !!! (Yamanaka does look quality )

Also noticed Santa Cruz stopped him with a body shot and Scott is much better to the body at this weight.

Also the Haskins fight was an absolute war and even though he won that will have added serious miles to the clock. Below if anyone hasn't seen it

I reckon Quigg stops him with a bodyshot in 4 rounds.

I'm a fan of Scott's but he needs better fights than this. Really poor main events so not going like I did to the last Matchroom one in Manchester I wouldn't mind if Crolla was in a decent fight but that's not much better.

For those saying Jamoye got battered by Yamanka, MOST FIGHTERS would get battered by the "god of left" (and I'd say Quigg would as well!).

Yeah it's a shame Jamoye is a BW but it's not a bad opponent, he should comfortable at 122 (BIG guy at 118), and should have the style to give a fun fight with Quigg.

Sure I'd have rather seen Wake but this isn't a bad fight.

To all those defending the choice of opponents, your just encouraging hearn to do more of the same thing. If fans don't complain why would he change anything especially when fans are telling him that this is a good fight!!! This is a world title fight, headlining the bill, when really this fight is a mid card euro title level fight. This guy has lost 2 of his last 3 and is not even the same weight. Your telling me they could not have found someone in the same division????
Love to hear Joe Gallaghers opinion on this fight...........anyone remember him have a go at framptons opponent a while back in regards to him fighting a guy the weight below, saying Quigg fights real super bantamweights!

I'm surprised that Quigg is fighting someone as good as Jamoye.

Quigg normally fights much worse opposition.

I think ticket sales or lack there of will do most of the talking
