True, though you have the right to not watch. If I there is something I don't like I don't keep telling everyone I don't like it, I find something I do like. I don't like listening to Adrien Broner so instead I grab a drink when he's talking. I don't like watching mismatches, so I'll make the effort to watch some of the more competitive fights. I don't like guys avoiding each other but rather than JUST focus on the negatives I'll enjoy the bouts where we do have competitive fighters against each other.

No one is telling you to pay for every PPV, there is enough fights out there though to enjoy SOME of what we get. It seems that the good things are almost ignored due to complaints. It's almost like everyone wants to talk about the doom and gloom rather than enjoy the great fights that we do end up with.

We all became boxing fans because we enjoy the sport, yet we act as if it's awful and terrible. We don't seem to be able to sit down and enjoy the lesser fights like Koki Eto Vs Ardin Diale, Sergio Thompson Vs Takashi Miura, Tommy Coyle Vs Daniel Eduardo Brizuela because we are so busy looking at the negatives.

If I go to a restaurant and it's shit, I don't go back and again and complain time and time again. I avoid it. If Showtime/HBO/allegedly/SKY Sports/ARD/Fuji TV/ Channel 7/Televisa et al are delivering fights you don't like don't watch them rather than complain before, during and after.

But boxing is kind of like you take what you can get. It´s not like I can watch boxing every week so I take every chance and I do appreciate and get excited for a lot of stuff. But I do complain about fights not getting made, the growing importance of having an 0 in the loss column, corruption, bias, politics, doping, etc. But one also kind of accept it, this is boxing and it comes with a lot of bad stuff. It's not like I get surprised at strange and unfair score cards. As a consumer I should voice my opinion. How would one expect it to be better, though I doubt anonymously complaining on a boxing forum will make much of a difference. The mismatches at showtime a couple of weeks ago was embarrassing and scary and the people responsible should know. There is nothing wrong wanting something to become better.

I'm of the opinion that all sports, boxing included, belong to we the people. It grows, withers, dies, etc. with us.

If promoters and matchmakers and fighters want to generate more money and more publicity, then all they have to do is take a gander at what the diehards and the general masses have to say--- we put the coins in their pockets, after all.

I've seen much worse attitudes.

We also have people on here that think they know it all and basically straddle the fence, careful not to make any kind of commitment showing who they like and who they don't. Its much safer that way, so they can come back and call the fans of whoever loses a dumb ass. They also are the most cynical and negative about any boxer with potential coming up. Safer to say they are all hype in case they fall on the way...which most do. If they make it just be silent for a while and people will forget it.

But, i think boxing fans tend to be negative about the sport itself because it wouldn't take a genius to fix some of the sports most glaring problems. So it's one thing to be negative about a fighter, because WE all could be right or wrong. However, many aspects of how the sport is run could be fixed quite easily if it weren't for the people who control the sport.

Nothing wrong with a healthy debate or even a well-deserved insult. I don't really care if someone calls me a moron, but I expect them to back it up and tell me why I'm a moron.

My other pet peeves are people who pretend they're experts in a given field when they are far far from it.

Also, it should be obvious to anyone over 8, that people like to spend their money differently. if someone wants to spend $20 or $50 on a PPV that's their business. Other people like to spend thousands of dollars on a suit or antique, that's also their business.

Boxing forums do not represent the view of the majority of people buying PPV fights or attending events so no real need to care what is written here.
