I don't see the relevance of using Tony Wilson's mum as an example - she wasn't a bogus asylum seeker, she was an immigrant who added value to the country from the moment she arrived.

I agree with The Law on the likely outcome.
I was looking for a few bites as well, seem to have got them, but I agree with you about asylum claims, if the danger in your own country is because of something you've done, then to me that's your fault and you should have to deal with it. I can understand if it's in an opressive regime, but I haven't heard anything about Cameroon being some sort of dictatorship and the only things I can find are that gays are discriminated against and there's lots of corruption.

If something awful does happen, that bellend's performance will be a massive boost to the 'ban boxing' brigade, making the boxer look like a mindless savage who wants to humiliate a seriously injured opponent.

First of all he had no idea how serious the ko was.
It was foolish but if Jerome had jumped up and simply missed the count I doubt people would be so critical.
He has just secured a major result against a local rival. The atmosphere was electric.
He'll be feeling absolutely devastated himself don't forget that.

I understand that Parsons...I was just stating fact. The lobby won't be so understanding.

That is for a different day anyway. Today is about praying for Jerome. Any updates you have will be gratefully received

Well giving an unconscious opponent a kiss is maybe the biggest show of disrespect I have seen post KO ever. I would feel that even If Jerome had woken up 12 seconds later

No doubt though, if he is a nice fella he will be cut up....Today's thoughts are with Jerome and his family anyway

Difficult to agree with you on that when you look at the video. They are the actions of a first class bellend, whatever the circumstances or reasons.

Going to make my last comment on this thread.
What Ambomo did was foolish. The foolish act is multiplied a thousand times because of the outcome.
He will be feeling wretched because of it.
However to turn this into a political debate about foreigners in the UK and deportation ?
That saddens me.
I hope and prey Jerome comes through this.
To see a friend and downright nice guy go through this is a heartbreaker. I know how hard he had worked for this and his hopes going forward.
The next 48 hours are critical.
I can only offer up my prayers - to one of boxing's good guys.

Thoughts are with Wilson today.
I think his opponent has let himself down, but will be feeling awful today.
Seen a couple of reports that Wilson is responding to treatment, which I hope continues.

I just want to say well done to Glyn Rhodes who was in Ambomos corner. Was on it straight away.

Not seen anything today, Coldwell Promotions said nothing would be released without family consent.
