What trade was Jerome in ? i know he was self-employed but not much more. I work with a lot of guys on a sub contractor basis and I always urge them to take income protection, but it's extremely expensive.

Not necessarily, I'm a mortgage and protection consultant at a Contractor specialist broker and there have been significant changes In the market of late. Agree with the premise though.
