Oops, forgot Ola Afolabi there didn't you. And good fighters like Troy Ross, who'd turn Cleverley and Bellew inside out!

I forgot Afolabi as well, that's a good shout. He can be kind of lazy at times, but he's certainly got the goods when he wants to show it.
Ross,
would be a good shout, as I pointed out earlier he gave Hernandez all kinds of trouble. Problem is, that was his last fight, and it was just a little over two years ago now.

It's tricky to order those I believe are near the top because Huck's been there for the longest but won some decisions that arguably could've gone the other way, Hernandez has won consistently but looked poor multiple times, Lebedev lost to Jones but that was very questionable and I think he deserved to win all his other bouts, and Drozd's last two wins were impressive but he hadn't done much before that.
For my general top five, accounting for resumes and perceived ability, I'd probably go with:
1. Huck
2. Hernandez
3. Drozd
4. Lebedev
5. Afolabi/Arslan
I'm even less sure of how they compare in terms of head to head bouts, although I'm fairly confident that Hernandez would be stopped at some point if they participated in a Super Six style tournament.-

Yeah, it's pointless ranking them right now, and even for the future. Not many are going to fight each other, which is a damn shame as it's probably the most stacked division in the sport but if the best are no longer going to fight the best then what's the point? A few years ago the division was hot, but this past year other than a couple fights, it's not very active. The future of the division is going to turn to Usyk, who is already a well known figure in Ukraine due to his dominance in the amateurs and he's going to be pushing for a title soon and will have financial backing to get it.

maybe big fights will get made.
the card with diablo, lebedev and drozd was a fgreat cruiser card. i think sooner or later hernandez vs huck in germany or usyk vs lebdev/drozd in moscow will get made, to finaly determin one sure #1

Yeah. That double header was one of the best of the year. Speaks for how bad the rest of the sport has been this year.
Huck and Hernandez will never fight each other. They've had the same trainer and training camps for years.
Usyk is aiming to get a title by his 11th fight to break Holyfield's 12 fight mark. The way they're talking, they want Huck pretty soon..

Thought he beat Masternak easily but what is with that shutout loss to an unknown Latvian with a 11-18-3 record? He seems to be a pretty good boxer so that doesn't make any sense. I wouldn't put him in a top 5 yet, either way.

Usyk - Huck (so this is realistic)
Lebedev - Kudryashov (is this match up also realistic, both strong russians)
Hernandez - Dorticos (not so sure about this one happening, but would be a great fight)
what u think?

If we can't get Huck/Hernandez, is there a chance we can get Huck/Drozd? The division really needs some unification. It was a great division 10 years ago. It really cleaned out around 2010 when Haye and Adamek moved up to HW.

Yeah it has been a while for Haye at cruiser he hasn't fought there since march of 2008
And Adamek has been since July of 2009
Why we never got a fight between the 2 I will never know.

drozd fought in germany before, against arslan.
and huck is always willing to face anybody.
yeah huck-drozd is realistic to happen.

promoters and often fighter want to stay champions and by fighting the very best, you might lose the title and the money that goes along with it when you promote your card as a card with the main event a champion title fight.

Haye turned down offers to fight Adamek at HW, so there's your most likely answer.

Yeah, as long as Huck stays at the weight, I see that fight happening. Not sure the other's happen as Kudryashov and Dorticos aren't ready yet. I'd rather see them face each other, as well as Lebedev-Hernandez facing each other. Lebedev wants the Huck rematch, so maybe that could also happen. A lot of people are aiming for Huck, I guess he's seen as the top CW by the division.

I actually think Lebedev might be number 1. I know he lost to Huck but I think he deserved the nod in that fight and then he lost to Jones like you say but Jones was enormous in the ring come fight night whereas Denis is quite a small cruiserweight really. I havent seen a ton of Hernandez admittedly but I saw his fight with Arslan and I thought he looked absolutely awful to be honest.

He could be and I wouldn't be surprised if he beat Huck if they rematched and If it happened in Russia I'd favor Lebedev. Near the top it's fairly tight and there isn't one guy who has shown he's clearly better than the others.

How do you see Cleverly and Bellew stacking up amongst those guys? I cant see them beating them. I think both Lebedev and Huck beat both of them to be honest.

yeah...also the money in germany is good. huck at this moment in time realy seems like the #1 at cruiserweight in terms of popularity. in terms of money, i think this russian promoter who made that rescent card is likly to give the opponent more cash than the guys from sauerland.
hopefully huck doesnt go to heavyweight like the kalle sauerland said, who said he was in talks with hbo. i mean besides wilder, there are none exciting heavyweights, wherese cruiserweight is full of exciting guys and hard puncher like lebedev, kudryashov, usyk, drozd and dorcticos.

wouldnt be surprsied???
lebedev beat huck the first time, it was a straight up robbery, watched the fight live in direct, everybody who was with me had lebedev winning by some 2-4 rounds.
today lebedev would beat huck just like the first time.
