Why is it u don't want to cancel your sky subscription when wwe have a Ppv event or when some films u have to pay for them why not cancel the movie package ???????

No one is forcing u to watch it it's an option! U can buy it if u like it or u can leave it if u don't

Phoned up Sky yesterday to cancel Sky Sports (still wanted the box for recording UFC / allegedly), and have dropped from £62.75 to £11.50 per month, getting the family bundle for 12 months.

Going to use the Now TV app on the playstation for the rare times I want Sky Sports.

Well done mate. I refuse to get Sky back if they continue with the shit they are churning out. Allegedly and BT I guess. Big matches in the pub.

One question - if they had a quality PPV show I would buy it, you don't need Sky Sports sub to get a PPV show, right?

Sky subscriber figures peaked a couple of years ago and they have slowed down considerably in 2014. Their stranglehold has been hammered by BT Sport, Netflix, Amazon Prime, plus your iPlayer / 4OD free player apps on smart tv's. The rest of the television content is available on freeview basis (BBC, ITV, Channel 5 etc)

In reality, only their proprietary sports shows are their own. Everything else can be obtained easily without them, at nowhere near the cost.

Sky is just a load of expensive bloat. Lots of channels churning out nothing of real interest or excitement to anyone.

Their movie channel is useless. Cheesy romcom take your fancy? well that's what your getting as your 'premier' friday night new movie. If you fancy anything else that's just come out - then you'd better open your wallet and head to their 'Store' and pay even more money.

I keep meaning to phone and cancel but I remembered that when they took over my old ISP they charged me extra for not being a SKY customer, which I was...I don't want to spend hours on the phone trying to explain that to some tit in cancellations.

Why dont they charge to watch the prem? Thats the sport thats costin them the most why is it us boxing fans get fleeced by not just sky but the hearns too? Yes its an option but i didnt subscribe to the full package for added extras to pop up every 3-4 months. Imagine if u were a wwe fan too,they get fleeced more than boxing fans,every main event is ppv with sky. Robbin b**tards

I cancelled today, told them I resented paying a SKY Sports/HD sub to watch their boxing output and it didn't represent value for me.

They tried to get me to stay but I said I watch maybe an hour a week on average, how is that worth paying for? They didn't seem to grasp the concept but then it's their job to keep you.

On the Sky Sports website there is an option to comment on each article / page they put up

Regarding the PPV announcement they take the option to comment away

I wonder if you went to cancel stating its because of the ppv rip off and that the only way you will stay is if they give you the ppv for free. Anyone try this?
