Re: Price: Hearn not stupid enough to give me Joshua now

It is very easy to jump on the Joshua band wagon. But one knockdown or shakey moment and people will quickly jump off! Lol Early days really.

You cant guarantee anyone beating price when he has that power. I'd expect most decent heavys to beat him but he always has a big chance.lefty wrote:Na I really think Joshua would deal with him now. Obviously Price can seriously whack so it would be a dangerous fight though for sure.jameswilson wrote:Ironically enough I'm the opposite. In 4 or 5 fights tho it will probably be different.

True but Price has shown he cannot take shots that well, a shakey moment would have no difference in my pick for the Joshua / Price. Knockdown and recovery from the knockdown, however would.polecateddy wrote:It is very easy to jump on the Joshua band wagon. But one knockdown or shakey moment and people will quickly jump off! He was stupid enough to put the Liverpool bill on Pay-Per-View.lefty wrote:Price: Hearn not stupid enough to give me Joshua now
Price has something in his arsenal that would worry any heavyweight. Serious question, Mimmy, where do you get some of these statements from? Do you do it for a reaction?mimmy123 wrote:call me a knobber, but Joshua would stop price inside 3 rounds. Price has nothing in his arsenal that would worry Joshua, weve seen what happens when Pricey ups the ante.
Mickey, mate, its a forum. I do not get 'statements' because the fight has not happened. I really do not get the reply because there has been no statements anywhere that says Price has beaten Joshua.mickey1975 wrote:Price has something in his arsenal that would worry any heavyweight. mickey1975 wrote:So a flush right hand from David wouldn't trouble Josh?
If David Price lands clean on another heavyweights chin with a right hand, almost all of them, unless they have an incredible chin, ie Oliver McCall, Vitali Klitschko etc, they will hit the deck, that is the one thing I'm certain of in a fight between the two. The same can't be said for Joshua, he doesn't really possess one punch knockout power, but he has the speed to overwhelm his current opposition with a series of punches.mimmy123 wrote:mickey1975 wrote:So a flush right hand from David wouldn't trouble Josh?
Who knows, has a flush right been produced as yet?

Mickey this is a boxing forum, we all have opinions matey. Its not an argument its purely what I think. Thats why its a democratic state and I can freely say what I want. I cannot back it up but I would be the first to hold my hands up and say 'Boy was I wrong' if my reply was widely incorrect. Price has nothing mate, if the fight ever happened you will see. Price however is not daft, he would not fight the Josh, thats a fact, but again I cannot back up that fact by Joshua or Price saying that.
"Doubt it will not happen"? So you think it will?mimmy123 wrote:Davie every heavyweight or any boxer has a punch whether they can connect it is another issue. Mike Tyson proberly had the most vicious punch in the heavyweight history but he did not always deliver that devastating punch. Of course it would be incredibly stupid to suggest that any boxer did not have a knock out punch. If joshua stood upright and let Price hit him on the chin im sure he would fall over. But in my opinion Joshua has more talent to stop that from happening.
Please lets not get into the argument of slagging each other off because one has an opinion that someone else thinks is outrageous, we all have opinions that is why there are social media sites to discuss the pro's and con's the right and wrongs. I'm not slagging anyone off, Its not in my nature. So lets wait and see if things happen or they don't. If they happen and if a Price v Jushua ever happens (I doubt it will not happen) and Price sparks out Josh, I will be the first to hold up my hands and say I was wrong.
Davie, Mickey, I wish you no hardm and all the best in the world and would not stoop to shiitng down my neck
Don't think thats true, theres plenty of HW boxers that don't have 1 punch KO power - Chisora is one i can think of. Yes he may land a telegraphed shot and connect with accuracy and be able to KO a boxer with a decent chin, but im fairly sure boxers with granite chins would still be standing. Where as im certain if Price connected clean he would KO anyone.mimmy123 wrote:Davie every heavyweight or any boxer has a punch whether they can connect it is another issue. ILikeBeer wrote:The problem with Price was, people were expecting him to be a World Champion. A bit premature perhaps, but a lot of people did think it. (Myself included.)
We've seen now that he's not a World Championship level boxer. People are making the mistake of thinking because he didn't live up to their high expectations, that means he's automatically awful, and doesn't deserve to fight anybody. He was still absolutely slaying people on the domestic scene pre-Thompson.
I don't see why Price can't be used to test up and comers like Joshua. It might prove interest. I certainly don't think it's a guaranteed win for either man.
surely there is a less chance of that happening than Price!stevedoc wrote:price is at a strange point of his career he punches to hard to be an easy fight for anyone but he looks shaky everytime when hit , i'd back joshua to take him out inside 3 rounds but i wouldn't be shocked if price did the same to him , i think price has lost his own self belief after the thompson fight and getting decked after that as well . i see a joshua vs chisora as more likely fight in the next 12 months chisora isn't a puncher and it would be a good 10 rounder for AJ .
if fury does chisora then chisora won't really have anywhere to go and 12 months can be a long time in boxing with AJ having maybe 6 more fights then a fight vs chisora who would still be in the world top ten might seem like a better option than price .BW3007 wrote:surely there is a less chance of that happening than Price!stevedoc wrote:price is at a strange point of his career he punches to hard to be an easy fight for anyone but he looks shaky everytime when hit , i'd back joshua to take him out inside 3 rounds but i wouldn't be shocked if price did the same to him , i think price has lost his own self belief after the thompson fight and getting decked after that as well . i see a joshua vs chisora as more likely fight in the next 12 months chisora isn't a puncher and it would be a good 10 rounder for AJ .
Think its a tough fight for both, eddie hearn would be mad to put him in with him now, a knockout loss at the moment would really burst the bubble for Joshua
