No. He holds a win vs joshua in the amateurs. It could be similar to groves vs degale a couple of years back. Hasn't really prevented degale from moving up the rankings.

When was he caught using it? I am sure DMAA is now banned for use at anytime in the UK and has been for the last two years. As for not knowing that something is banned, there is an app you can get to check ingredients and products or just go on the WADA website. It takes seconds to do and I think someone who uses something that is banned is responsible. Naivety is a poor excuse as is ignorance. Rule is simple, do not take anything you have not checked, ever! And when a paid professional who makes their career out of a sport, it is vital importance and common sense.

A lengthy ban is excessive I think although it does give you an advantage in the event.

Problems will arise with Whyte has nowhere near as much comfort with that lot. Whyte will always be leagues bellow AJ.

Its the obvious fight next year. AJ is being labelled as the next big thing. Whyte has a win against him in the amateurs. Its got to happen.

It's not a big fight for anybody other than Whyte and people who know Whyte. As things stand they're on different roads. If Whyte can build his profile and get some decent wins under his belt, then maybe, but as things stand, it's not a fight I'd be looking at for Joshua if I was Hearn.

No way Hearn will risk Joshua going in with Whyte.

Hearn keeps banging on about how much AJ has progressed. If he has progressed that much then taking care of Dillian Whyte who has been inactive for 2yrs shouldn't be a risk. Im sure whyte would happily get in the ring again after beating him last time. Its marketable as it is AJ's chance to avenge a previous defeat and whyte would be a live opponent.

No brainer all around for me. A couple more fights for AJ and maybe 3 or so for whyte and we are somewhere near.

To be fair. The Pole was a lot more experienced than BOXREC said. He had a lot of kick boxing fights and had appeared in several of those "bigger better" semi pro tournaments in Europe.

Still, It was poor matchmaking and cant see why Whyte took it as he will learn more in the gym. When you look around though it is hard to get opponents with the right amount of risk/reward. Decent journeymen would probably want too much money.

Yeah bit of a catch 22 situation with Dillian. High risk, low reward at the moment so not many decent fighters will want to find him. But all he needs to do is keep winning, keep building his profile and if his management can manoeuvre him into a mandatory position for the British, the best British fighters will have to fight him or vacate. I'd try to get him the English title in the next 6 months.

I've got him in with Paul Butlin, Dorian Darch, Matt Legg, Matt Skelton and Michael Sprott this year...

What would be the point of these fights other than 'possibly' beating these blokes more impressively than Joshua (unlikely) Butlin could only manage a draw with James Oliphant last time out, Darch needs dropping down a level after the beatings he's had lately (Joshua/Chambers) neither Skelton or Sprott should be seen in a ring again (especially Sprott who is looking alarmingly fragile these days)

If Whyte is all he is hyped up to be why not go for Sam Sexton, John McDermott, Ian Lewinson, Gary Cornish or even a decent import like Brian Minto, Jason Gavern?

Whyte looks raw and fleshy he is nowhere near Joshua at the moment. I wish him luck as he is dedicated and active unlike so many British heavies but I can't see him going beyond European level at best.

yeah really dodgy stoppage imo. The Pole looked ok, more of a stumble than a knockdown.

Disagree I think Sokolowski had enough his eye socket / cheekbone was bust not much protesting.

They obviously came into the fight with Whyte confident after all he had previously beat the unbeaten Adam Machaj.

On another note, based on this article, what's the point of promoting foreign fighters in the uk? As Eddie Hearn once said, there's absolutely no market. You can see in the article the promoter is struggling to match Sokolowski with anyone.
At the end of the day, he fought Dillian and lost.

I really don't see the point in that. Local promoters should promoter local talent in my opinion.

The Steve Wood VIP stream was clearer his eye/cheek looked busted.

They clearly will have problems building a following for Sokowlowski in Plymouth. However he looked game so maybe he can be kept busy maybe an Adam Machaj rematch or other British prospects.
