Lost the 2nd Kessler fight? No chance.

GGG vs Mayweather does float my boat though! Obviously won't happen.

More likely to fight with Pacman though.....that would be good! Fireworks don't blink job.

Utter rubbish - Froch has never ducked a fight in his life - as for getting KO'd - possibly, but who exactly has GGG beaten of note so far - he has never faced anyone anywhere near as good as Froch - let's see how GGG reacts when someone starts hitting him back.
Fact is GGG has never been down Amateur or Pro he takes a shot to throw a shot.. He can seriously bang everyone has said how fearsome a puncher he is.. Froch is far too easy to hit and has been down he wouldn't be getting back up from GGG.. 100% Froch knows that he's a clever boy and will not go near GGG.. Froch is not Elite he's lost to Ward and Kessler at his own weight he's World Class not elite.. Good opponents but he's world class. IMO he lost the 2nd Kessler fight. Was losing against Groves in first fight and landed a cracking punch in the 2nd.. Froch has achieved more than I expected but GGG is unreal
Losing fights doesn't mean you are not elite - by that reckoning the only world class fighters around are Mayweather and Rigondeaux out of all the champions - Pacman and Marquez are not elite? Really?

What a crock of shite, he beat Kessler comfortably - only a blind man would claim he lost that fight. Even Kessler didn't protest about it.

He was losing against Groves - so what, the fight is twelve rounds, you have to make it to the end to win - Taylor was winning too, before he got spanked.

Froch's toughness and determination are elite level, he has one of the strongest wills to win I've ever seen, and the only man to live with him in a proper fight was Kessler - himself a beast at 168 - in his prime, Kessler was very very good indeed, he gave Calzaghe his toughest fight without a doubt. Unfortunately, injuries and inactivity ended his prime.

GGG hasn't been tested yet, you are getting carried away - you may turn out to be right - and he might turn out to be a real monster who devastates 160 and 168 - but that remains to be seen.

That could be a painful night for Pacman - he's never really been in with someone who could outgun him in the power stakes. Pacman has always been hittable, and he's much the smaller man too. That spells O U CH!

Pacman would get murdered by Golovkin. We saw the effect a good shot from Marquez had on him and I could only imagine how devastating a clean dig from Golovkin would be!

I dont know where you work but I would think most sports fans know who Golovkin is. I cant believe he is less known then Groves was.

Groves had the Degale fight, remember, where he was plastered all over Ringside and made a bit of a dent in the mainstream sports press.

Golovkin, over here at least, hasn't.

I reckon Groves was far better known in November last year than Golovkin now, amongst the general sporting public.

This is just silly.

As boxing fans we live in this bubble where we know every top boxer & assume the rest of the world must do as well.

George Groves has been all over the media in past year or so thanks to the two Froch fights & the casual sports fan knows who he is. GGG meanwhile hasn't received hardly as much press attention & I can assure you that very few people outside of boxing fans would have a clue who he is.

Golovkin stopped two fighters from the empire Macklin and Geal, emphatically. And every time middleweights are mentioned, and that was very often in recent past, Golovkins name is also mentioned. Every casual boxing fan knows Golovkin I am sure of that.

It's more the public generally than the sporting public. There was probably a ton of people that watched Froch-Groves 2 who arent even big sports fans let alone boxing fans but caught up in the occasion.

Groves had a robbery/scandal to cry foul about, and sold the fight well with his rubix cube & arrogance. He played the bad guy pretty well but Froch is so far up his own ass plenty actually got behind Groves despite being the villain.

I don't htink Golovkin hasn't done anything to catch attention from non-boxing fans or gain that kind of mainstream exposure.

I think Groves pre-Froch I was better known amongst the British public than GGG now...

No question it would sell out - they could sell 70,000 tickets within 30 mins!

Of course, 65,000 of those would become immediately available on Stubhub within the following 30 mins...

I'd pay to go see this live though, Froch is a freak of nature is has earned his place amongst Calzaghe, Lewis, Hatton. Golovkin on the other hand I think could be among some of the greatest ever along side Hagler, Duran & Tyson.

I like the Tyson comparison because that's the kind of drawing power Golovkin needs to aim for. His ability terrifies people, i think Macklin was genuinely frightened going into that fight with Golovkin - it's the baby face, good manners & Borat voice that's holding GGG back from a little more selling power. He should get the black shorts on and a towel for his head and he might get somewhere.

If GGG could get Cotto or Canelo in the ring and rip them apart inside 3 rounds then yes, but by that time Froch will be retired, so i don't see it happening - and i don't think Froch would want it, he's a guy who values his legacy pretty highly and will forever crack on about how his legacy trumps Calzaghes.
If GGG could become one of the greatest ever then he won't be getting compared to Tyson! He never beat a great fighter.

People talk about GGG taking everyone apart but if I were his handlers I wouldn't be massively keen on fighting Froch. Big, strong, teak tough super middle with lots of big fight experience who gives everyone a hard nights work and is double awkward? Recipe for disaster.

are you taking the piss re Kessler 2? Watch it again, you are embarrassing yourself if you genuinely think Kessler was close to winning that.

Biggest puncher in the world right now P4P, against a fighter that blocks punches with his face, throw in that his chins solid and he can box too and there's only one way I see the fight going. Froch isn't a big super middleweight, he could make middleweight himself, Rubio on Saturday was probably bigger than Froch has ever been on fight night, even if Froch tried to impose himself physically on GGG, he'd have to get up close, which is the last thing to do with Golovkin, the leverage he gets into his punches is incredible, you don't take anything away from him by going toe to toe.

No.

Very very few fights will sell out Wembley.
Froch vs. Groves 2 did because they were both well known fighters, there was bad blood and shit taliing before both fights, there was a massively controvesial decision in the first fight and Sky hyped the poo out of it.

I've lost count of the number of times I've read about some bout, that someone thought would sell out wembley, on here. It's getting stupid.
I can't think of a fight that would do it at the first time of asking, without the drama and history that preceeded that second froch groves fight. Seriously, i'm not even sure Khan vs Mayweather would sell 80k+.

Whether or not it sells out Wembley, there is definitely potential for it to be a huge fight. As you say, very few fights these days are capable of getting that many bums on seats. You need to excite the casual sports fans to get those kind of numbers, you'd really need to get Golovkin into a meaningful fight with someone that English fans can relate to, or do some serious pre-fight promotion to raise his profile.

If I were betting on it I would probably follow your prediction but it's nothing like an easy nights work for GGG. So far all we have seen him in with is level B, at very best, opponents.

Froch is a massive step up from what he has faced so far. Moving up in weight and class means his power may not be as devastating. Froch can box a bit despite what some think. He altered the gameplan for Groves 2 enough.
Against GGG try and keep it long for 5-6 rounds then start walking him down if he is still there. I would favour GGG to win as mentioned above but I could imagine Froch dragging him in to deep water late on if he is still there.

Not a smart fight to take for GGG in my opinion.
