Quigg is active but thats the only positive effect that fast eddie has had on his career. Quigg is going nowhere and it appears fast eddie is completley incapable of landing the Frampton fight so hes fcked..shame really

At least with a Japanese boxer you are usually guaranteed an entertaining fight.

Its now 4pm and none of their papers (online at least) are running this story. Yet one does have a huge feature on Koki's US debut.

Surely 50% of the blame needs to be with the Mcguigans, it takes two to tango.
Isn't Frampton injured at the moment anyway?

Fair enough, Kaneko have confirmed the bout in the last few hours... Still have a feeling it'll fall through and we'll see Quigg vs last minute Bantamweight

but as Frampton bring 20,000+ fans i can see why his camp would take the attitude that Quigg needs him more than vice-versa

Frampton should be the A side, there's no doubt about that, I'm just pointing out that Eddie won't be the only one at fault if the fight doesn't happen as he seems to genuinely want the fight.

I think the only way a fight can happen between Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton is if Carl leaves Barry McGuigan.

I don’t think it can happen otherwise.

i don't know mate, from my not-very-well-informed-on-the-business-side-of-it perspective, to me, if Quigg demanded 50%, i would say Frampton would be in the right telling him to sling it.

Think all fans agree that frampton should be the 'A' side. He brings the fans and the world title. There lies the problem, hearn thinks its a 50/50 becuase he has sky which is complete BS he has an obligation to sky subscribers to make this fight or he is not doing his job. In my opinion he is making quigg a bit of a laughing stock among fans, he gets no respect and this is because of hearn

Wake would have been the best realistic available guy (they have openly said they don't want Rigo just yet, Santa Cruz aint coming over here, Martinez won't fight so soon after the Frampton defeat and Frampton and Avalos are tied up.) This guy is only just below Wake in both independent computerised rankings (boxrec 8 and IBO 5.)

.
Why is Avalos tied up? Frampton is injured and unavailable, Avalos is now in the same stable. That fight would of been easy to make?

Avalos is busy "passing on mandatory shot at Rigondeaux" which was scheduled for November, word is he's trying to get a Frampton gig.

Avalos and Frampton will fight in the new year apparently.
