what a let down for Browne to be fighting this clown. I thought Welliver would be done after getting his ass kicked by a 50 yrs semi retired dude who wasn't very good in his prime. Welliver quits against a 50 yrs then gets a show at undefeated Browne, only in boxing.

Oh and to top it off he'll come into what is proly his biggest fight since solis and.........he come in looking like a fat ass bus driver.

Does anyone know if Chauncy is going to be a little lighter for this fight, or should we expect the nearly 300 pound version?

I almost always root for the underdog, so I hope Chauncy can at least make a good showing and take Browne deep.

Another good round for Browne. Chauncy, rather approproately throwing marshmellows. Good crowd here by the way

Might be stopped soon Chaunceys eye is up like a balloon. He is not. Yup its over Tko on his stool. Good win for Browne. Surely Chauncy hasn't got a career left

How Chauncy expected to win carrying that much pudding would have to be one of the great mysteries of boxing.

To be fair to Browne his last two opponents were really good fighters for where he was in his career, Rudenko was hard as nails and the Bahoeli was a good fight. Brownes always going to be dangerous in any fight with his power.

As much as I hate to say it, I would rather see the Chauncey charade more than the Mundine show, god I was ready for him to go far, far away.

Good lord, 304.5 is what boxrec has listed as his weight. This guy had gotten down in to the 230's just two years ago. It seems he must have simply stopped caring again after he got beat by Sherman Williams.

Kronkpride wrote:Welliver is winning this fight! He's too savvy and too sturdy for Browne to get any momentum going for him. And when it comes down to it Welliver is in better shape than Browne. Better cardio and a better overall athlete. Browne will slow and Welliver will add on as many rounds as Browne can go to his 400 straight HW rounds without going down streak. He got stopped to a seriously injured arm...Vitaly Klitschko anybody? And he got stopped by a bogus ref on his feet and fighting so an undefeated Olympic Gold Medalist would get an earlier end to a night he wasn't looking good on. In front of all the HW champs for the VK comeback card in Germany. McCall got stopped too...and so did Chuvalo. But Welliver nor those guys ever got put down to taste canvas. And Browne is not gonna make that happen either. Watch and see, Welliver will reel him in and get better and better every round. Then Briggs is getting his arse beat next.
You must have one of the worst opinions in boxing. Chauncey Welliver never even beat a top 100 fighter in 69 fights.

When I first saw this post I thought it was Browne vs Wilder and that Deontay was taking a pre-Stiverne tune-up vs a dangerous opponent  Silly me!
