As long as he is motivated then I can see FG beating Skeete clearly in a competetive fight, I would fear more for Frankies career against Glenn Foot ,style wise than Skeete.

SamWise72 wrote:Exactly. The only wadi to beat him really is to be able to walk through that jab, and I'm not sure Frankie is the man to do it. Or maybe roll under it, which again isn't Frankie
Or he could step sideways, slip the jab, draw it out by feinting, then counter when Skeete's jab falls short. There's plenty of ways to deal with a good jab, Frankie was world amateur champion, he might struggle when he's put under pressure because he's not a big puncher, fighting at the wrong weight, but when it comes to a technical boxing match, it will take someone special to get the better of him, certainly better than Bradley Skeete.

I get what you're saying expe and he's got to do it now over 12 rounds, Skeets can adjust as well and it may be that Frankie gets picked off something rotten.

I hope he doesnt bloody lose to Skeete because he clearly is a more talented fighter overall. My fear is that he's very much a confidence fighter and having lost to Bundu and knowing he's in the ring with a guy he's expected to beat, the pressure is going to be ramped right up and that's my main concern.
@lefty.....agreed, but that's probably exactly why this fight has been made.

Frankie's hugely talented but he's been less than easy (possibly bordering on being a massive pain in the arse) to manage, promote and train and he's now a 29 year old, a pro since 2009, with a loss on his record. New, far more recent amateur stars like Luke C and AJ are also coming through...meaning that he's no longer a young, hotshot kid to watch.

I think he'll turn up for Skeete....realising the gauntlet has been thrown down......and I am expecting him to win.
