Yes mate, but the Hearn's have put themselves in a good place with the Darts and the Snooker (Seasonal Sport that help the overall subscriptions on Sky). If Boxing goes, then BT Sport awaits.

I would have no doubt Allegedly has been approached by BT, but he'll wait and likely sell out and start again in the next 3/4 years.

Barry will have the final say on most matters.

I think Eddie runs the boxing side of things without much influence from Barry, but Matchroom Boxing is simply an offshoot of Matchroom Sport, if they weren't making money, they'd pull out of boxing and if Barry wanted to, he would be running Matchroom's Boxing arm, but he takes more interest in Darts, Snooker and Fishing. Matchroom have interests in a lot of sports, Darts, Pool, Snooker, Boxing, Table Tennis, Fishing, Golf, Poker, Bowling and until recently, Football. Barry is the big boss at the head of the company , Eddie runs the Boxing side, I'm sure there's others behind the scenes that run other parts of the operation, but the Hearns are very much the public face of the company.

Jack Solomons, Harry Levine, and they operated in the days of one world champion per weight category. They put on top flight shows for decades. allegedly is nowhere near their league - he is nowhere near the league of the 'cartel'.

This will probably be the straw that breaks the donkey's back for me. I pay for Sky Sports purely for the boxing, but I'm not paying an additional £17 for this. I'll instead scour the internet to see if I can see it for free and, if I can, Sky Sports will get cancelled the very next day.

Be interesting to see what happens when Matchroom deal is up. Most of their main events are one sided affairs and when one of their fighters do get a decent test in this country it ends up on PPV.

£16.95 to watch Clev v Bellew! If it wasn't so bad for the fans/sport I'd burst out laughing.

Not a chance in hell I'm paying for it. I'm not going to even bother looking for a dodgy stream. The whole event can come and go for me. We all know the results anyway and any decent scrap or stoppage will be replayed to the heavens.

Stay strong and don't let them draw you in. This will bomb massively. No one even cares about it. The only reason its had so much forum chat is because of the PPV status, if it had been a run of the mill Saturday night card, we might have 2-3 threads on the actual fight.

One poor card for November on SKY as all the Matchroom fighters are on the PPV, could have had 3 decent SKY Saturday night shows off the Liverpool bill and nobody would have complained. Instead there is one card this month and everything else is on the PPV wall on the 22nd, can stay there as far as I'm concerned and hopefully they will all get their fingers burnt. No wonder Bellew is trying his best to make it a Froch v Groves like hype fight. Problem is as much as he mouths off he isn't an entertaining fighter; boring is what he is. I will not be spending my money on this. It's not PPV worthy no matter how much he tries to hype it.

Yup. The November lineup for allegedly, on the other hand, is bloody brilliant! Fvck Sky Sports & Matchroom, they're garbage for boxing & getting worse by the month. Soon as my deal ends I'm cancelling for sure. allegedly shows 90% of the boxing I watch on the tv anyway, I'll just stream anything else.

Seriously thinking of getting rid of sky sports, I only have it for boxing and feeling pretty ripped off at moment, besides not really interested in watching bellew doing his WWF thing I'm a 41yrold proper fan of boxing not a fcuking 12yrold kid

Sorry I meant the modern era. But as I understand, in those times and later with Duff etc there was a kind of monopoly; Jewish Mafia style domination where outsiders, especially the Goyim, could not penetrate the promotional field ESP when it came to BBC televisation.

Allegedly thus had to begin in Unlicensed until the old guard got ousted as he wasn't a mensch.

Sky are a business at the end of the day and its a numbers game. They have a successful model to build on (although I aint seen the exact figures) with Froch and Groves. So they've instigated the "drama" that Froch and Groves had for two, evenly matched, lower level fighters who do not like each other. The major difference between this and Froch vs Groves is that Froch especially is a proven world force.

Based on Clev vs Bellew 1 we can expect an exciting fight between the pair so Sky are not worried about "value for money" feedback that was the issue with why they dropped PPV's in the first place (lets not forget Haye vs Harrison sold very well!) - the only gamble with the model that Sky have is will people pay extra for a non-world title fight, between two European level fighters (in reality). If figures show they do, and the fight ends up as a good one.... expect Coyle vs Campbell on PPV (seriously).

Had Harrison vs Haye been a decent fight, then they would not have dropped PPV in the first place.

I'm going so thankfully I don't have to decide whether to purchase this or not. I don't think I would tho.

For me there isn't 1 50/50 fight on the bill as I think Bellew will smash Cleverly. Eddie continually thinks he can sell these massive bills because they have big names on them and 2 world title fights. Noone truly believes Quigg or Mcdonnell to be world champs. There is more 50/50 fights on the dublin bill than this.

I feel allegedly has cottoned on the fact that the punters rather a 50/50 match up looking at the 29th card and the fact he's putting his own fighters against each other. I think he's done this as he has had too where as Eddie is far to comfortable with his relationship with sky.

I am a massive matchroom fan but sadly they are far too comfortable at the moment and sky sports have created this monster by allowing a monopoly on the boxing events. Hopefully when this bombs we will see some changes.

Eddie will sprout the fact that ppv was needed to afford to pay all the boxers on this bill. Yet he's found room for a non matchroom fighter on the bill. The easy solution would've been to have 2 non ppv bills and get more money from the gates as Bellew vs Cleverly would've sold out in Liverpool regardless of the undercard.

Lastly i'm really disappointed no opponent has been named for Steven Smith yet. He deserves a step up and a challenge and i'm starting to worry that he's gonna end up in another easy fight. Look after your own fighters before adding Groves to the bill. I only hope i'm wrong and they already have a decent opponent for swift and are holding out on announcement to have a big press release to try sell the ppv.

Was thinking the same myself. Eddie seems to quote these boxers that are on the bill like its them that we want to watch & not that we want to see them in competitive fights. The fans are sick of one sided fights against smaller opponents & Argentinan tough guys.
