Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Another quality fighter i really liked wont be on allegedly anymore, which is a shame. allegedly going to be a international fights only station soon enough. Seems allegedly turned into a bit of a feeder for match room. Always going to be that way though unfortunately, more exposure and more money i would of thought. Shame i cant afford the 50 odd quid they wanted to carry on my sky sports HD subscription. Good job they dont expect more for ppvs aient it
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Frank won't give a monkey's and, if he does, he shouldn't.
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Kal yafai, cambell, Joshua, smith have all had great starts to there caeers with hearn......saunders while imo a better fighter than some of the fighters I've named is way behind them in terms of progress. Plus none of the mentioned have ever had a check bounce! Do you think if Saunders started with hearn he would have only had 10 fights in 3 years? You really think he wouldent be british or commonwealth champ in a pretty weak division already with hearn?DazDiCanio wrote:Can you back that up with any sort of stats, or is it just Eddie loving?rio wrote:As much as I think hearn is a greedy twat this is a great move for saunders. Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Saunders has had a lot of injury problems that have kept him out of the ring. If he'd gone with Hearn he would have had more fights because Eddie has a lot of his prospects out every 4 or 5 weeks, whereas with Warren it's every 2-3 months. Depends which approach you think's best. Saunders is already past domestic level, any promoter that starts sticking him in British and Commonwealth title fights now is an absolute idiot and wasting his time. None of the 4 fighters you mention have had great starts IMO, only Yafai has come close to being well matched, if their the superstars we're told they are, they should have been in with far better opponents by now, rather than the bums they've mostly fought.rio wrote:Kal yafai, cambell, Joshua, smith have all had great starts to there caeers with hearn......saunders while imo a better fighter than some of the fighters I've named is way behind them in terms of progress. Re: Another name has apparently left FW
And who's brad fought? The fighters mentioned have all fought better opponents and are further on with their career
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
The last we need is more names joining Matchroom.
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Do you really not think that a skilled and experienced fighter like Limond would be a good opponent for Saunders?expe wrote: Saunders is already past domestic level, any promoter that starts sticking him in British and Commonwealth title fights now is an absolute idiot and wasting his time.
As good as he has looked he is still a 10 fight prospect
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Limond, hamilton, ryan, woodhouse, jenkins or catterall would all be great opponents for saunders in his next 3 fights. He could clean out the division winning the british and/or commonwealth then move on to euro levelkeirw wrote:Do you really not think that a skilled and experienced fighter like Limond would be a good opponent for Saunders?expe wrote: Saunders is already past domestic level, any promoter that starts sticking him in British and Commonwealth title fights now is an absolute idiot and wasting his time.

Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Could he be added to the Liverpool card? Not had a fight since the summer,Hearn saying a fight will be announced that raises a few eyebrows and it will be a kick in the dogs to FW
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
Surprised by this as know Brad was down London talking contracts with Wazza not so long back and they seemed a tight unit but it seems the lure of Hearn and the Sky exposure has proved too much. Good move though as he will want to be busier and Hearn will have him out regularly. Brad is the real deal but know he'd want that British strap whether people feel he is on another level or not. It's one of the best belts you can own and when you box for it and win it you leave your mark on history.

Re: Another name has apparently left FW
You seem to prioritise speed of progression above anything else lol Of the name you mention only really AJ and Smith have had better development than Brad, 2 massive names in UK boxing.rio wrote: Kal yafai, cambell, Joshua, smith have all had great starts to there caeers with hearn......saunders while imo a better fighter than some of the fighters I've named is way behind them in terms of progress. Re: Another name has apparently left FW
He will probably be kept busy fighting Latvians, but let's see. Hearn seems to have this localised business plan, that every show needs a plethera of local fighters to sell tickets. This saves him from having to work on matching decent opponents i suppose.
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
You know what happens when you try to build a pyramid with playing cards - you add more and more until the whole thing comes crashing down. We've seen it all before Solomons, Duff , FW it ends up the same ,bitterness, legal suits, fighters laid off for years at a time, and another nail in boxing's coffin because we can't be bothered anymore. One or two people getting massively rich at our expense ( or more importantly- the boxers expense).

Anyone else getting the impression that Manchester Hitman has a new username?
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
I will say this will surprise me if true - I'm surprised no-one has joked using the word "ingrate" but I think FW has shown remarkable faith in Bradley and he is stepping up quite quickly.
I'm thinking this might lead to Woodhouse vs Saunders in the new year, not a match I like the looks of for Curtis.

Don't worry about me Stu, everybody said the same about Frankie Gavin, didn't do too bad in that one, Saunders is good but not fought or beat anybody that makes me sit up and take notice, its a tough old sport and I wish him well, if we do fight then great, if not no big deal, great move for him leaving ffrank, needs a bigger platform, sky will give him that

Turned it down for 2 reasons, 1st reason it was on franks bill and after he had already bounced 3 cheques on me for the Frankie Gavin fight I didn't want to go through that again but the main reason was I wanted to be British and commonwealth champion, brad Brough nothing to the table, still doesn't
Re: Another name has apparently left FW
The curse of Frankie Gavin - my Bros Cheques Bounced from his fight with Gavin and then took about 3 weeks to get paid.

Took me around 8 weeks to be paid in full, shambles, why would I fight saunders on franks show again after that? On a sky show no problem, fought 5 times on eddies shows always been paid in full and on time, never had any problems
