To be honest with u lads, that's what people on here are voting but unfortunately u are the minority as this show is aimed towards the casual fan.
I to am disappointed with the lack of 50/50 fights but this show is directed to the people who just want the big names with an early k.o.

If you done this poll to casual boxing fan he would think it was the greatest show there has ever been

The public have heard of George Groves, due to him twice fighting Froch. I'm sure that there are a few people who have heard of DeGale as well due to him being on Channel 5.

Doesn't necessarily make a show Pay-Per-View worthy.

Greatest show that has ever been?....They will have heard of AJ, groves and degale.....that's it probably. Clev and Bellew will not even be on the casual fans radar....they are just not that big outside their respective towns/cities.

Yeah, that was an exaggeration. A lot of casuals will still remember Froch vs Groves at Wembley.

But, I know what he means. If marketed properly, and Sky will market it properly, a lot of casuals will get interested.

The fact that they've never heard of Clev or Bellew may help. They will sell it as a big grudge rematch, not some mediocre fight.

I know plenty of casual fans and none are really excited about this, don't forget they will look at the main event really (as most couldn't/wouldn't sit though the full card). Depends what over the top hype (that I fully expect) they get between now and fight night.

And they won't admit to them being mismatches, either. They'll say Anthony Joshua is stepping up to fight a former British champion. They won't say Anthony Joshua is fighting somebody well past his best.

A lot of people thought that Audley Harrison had a good chance of beating Haye, despite the British media saying he was awful at every opportunity for the past ten years. If Hearn can convince people to buy that, he can sell this. However much we all want the show to fail.

Totally agree with this post!

I know people on here don't like the miss matches but to a casual fan it is a great night of boxing. They see Joshua fighting in a so called step up, they see groves back in the ring they see degale who they will know they also see a big grudge match where the fighters are constantly arguing and dislike each other
As well as there will b 2 more fights added to this bill and they will know the fighters names too

I see that, and I can see the way they will spin it, but will the casuals fork out 17 quid for it??? not so sure

Nope. I'll be interested enough to check fightnews in the morning for the result but that's it.

Pacquiao v Algeri and Edgar v Swanson (UFC) are far more interesting fights that weekend.

I'd love to take the high ground and not buy but ive pissed too much money up the wall over the years to grudge paying under 20 notes to watch the sport i love

Bradley Saunders added to the bill, someone only boxing fans have heard of and some German youngster I've never heard of added too. At this rate if they show every match it will go all weekend

This fight was never a PPV fight.

Audley Harrison, followed by David Haye killed by PPV ambitions a few years ago.

I haven't bought a PPV since & this fight is not big enough to warrant a reversal of that decision.

These fights will be crap. The first Bellend vs Cleverer was crap. Degale vs Groves was crap. This show is going to bomb big time although it won't dent Orange Edward or sky's back pocket. fornicate payin 17 quid to watch shite, it's a blatant rip off nothing less.

I spoke to a couple of people last night who are into the big boxing events about this. They went to Froch v Groves at Wembley and always bought the Hatton ppvs etc and they didn't even realise it was ppv until yesterday.

They aren't fans of either fighter (they know Cleverly has a degree & Bellew is scouse, that's pretty much it) and it hasn't really attracted their interest in it so they won't be purchasing this either.

Their interest in Groves has also drifted

That's exactly what I've been saying - I've not met a single casual fan who's the least bit interested in this PPV, and most don't even seem to know it's happening. To expect them to suddenly fork out 17 quid on impulse less than a month away from Christmas is laughable.
