Ha ... punchoutsb is hilarious.punchoutsb wrote:Good to see you back, bobby. One of my favorite posters and I hadn't seen you around as much.
Look who you're quoting. But it's hard to make men realize that their actions and opinions are reprehensible when men have been taught about the GREATNESS OF MEN from day one. We overly glorify violence and sexual dominance and then stand back and watch the murder and rape numbers increase.
If it's a god who appreciates kindness and love, then yes, Floyd would be going to hell. But that evil "god" guy from the bible ... Floyd would probably be one of his favorites somehow.
Coverage of said events, especially when they involve celebrities, has probably markedly increased. That's not to say it's an acceptable thing when it happens, but I think it's important to keep things in perspective.

I will simply will not discredit Floyd as a fighter based on out of the ring antics when he's one of the hardest working and talented figures in the sport of boxing. I am a boxing fan (I don't watch boxing or a fan of a guy because he has a good personality, I watch boxing!) and I will separate Floyds out of the ring life from his boxing career. That doesn't mean I like Floyd as a person or agree with his out of the ring problems.Rodian wrote:I'd have serious reservations remaining a fan of someone like this. Floyd fans should take a good look at themselves in the mirror before continuing their endless defense of the self proclaimed TBE
SRR is considered by many as the greatest boxer to ever grace this earth and he beat his wife on a consistent bases. The only difference is today women have more rights, you have the media and it's a totally different world. Jake Lamotta also beat his wife on many occasions, but back then it was of the norm for a man to rough up their wife if they felt they were out of line with little not no consequences with the law. I'm not saying it's ok, I was taught to never physically or emotionally harm a women, but in boxing there's a laundry list of fighters who abused women physically and many of them are among some of the best to do it.
I don't have to take a look at myself, I know what I am and have my own beliefs and morals. Me being a fan of Floyd as a fighter has absolutely no bearing on my everyday life. Me being a fan of Floyd has a fighter has nothing to do with me wanting to live his lifestyle or supporting his actions. I'm my own person and I'm a boxing fan, I don't follow this sport or love this sport because of fighters "personalities".
Just more pretentious self-serving rambling by the hypocritical village idiot.BAD INTENTIONS wrote: Actually Bobby, I don't know where you're from, but in the U.S., 1 in 4 women in college is raped at some point. That number might even be higher. In fact, it's now a joke to talk about rape methods. This is not a problem only in state colleges, it's the same thing at Ivy league schools. There is a huge rape epidemic sweeping the country as we're tweeting about Adrien Peterson. But, let some savage dudes start raping men. There would be police and cameras on every corner to protect frightened men ... and then of course, men would start randomly killing homosexuals and/or men they perceive to be homosexuals.
Also, there are many countries in the "Western" hemisphere that has seen tenfold increase in murder rates (or more) as violent crimes have decreased in certain US cities ... wonder why? Maybe because we've gotten great at exporting our problems ...
Finally, it's easy to say that violent crime is decreasing when you aren't living in the hundreds of neighborhoods in the US that are basically 3rd world. And it doesn't count if you live close to one, if you're not in it, you're not in it.
Punchout ... that's perspective you comfortable middle class whore.

Is it exaggerated? The oft-touted statistic comes from a 2007 Campus Sexual Assault Study commissioned by the U.S. Department of Justice. The study was a Web-based survey circulated to a random sample of 5,446 undergraduate women at two major public universities. The survey found that 19% of the female respondents had experienced completed or attempted sexual assault since entering college.

This statistic is derived from a 2007 study, The Campus Sexual Assault Study, which was conducted for the Justice Department’s National Institute of Justice. The researchers, led by Christopher Krebs of RTI International, also surveyed men, but the statistic cited by the administration focuses on women so we will look carefully at that part of the study.
In the Winter of 2006, researchers used a Web-based survey to interview undergraduates at two large public universities, one in the Midwest and one in the South. A total of 5,446 undergraduate women, between the ages of 18-25, participated as part of a random sample. The survey was anonymous and took about 15 minutes to complete. (Participants received a $10 Amazon.com certificate for participating.)

The incident report provides even more sickening details on the attack on the boy's mother, Josie Harris, who was not in a relationship with Mayweather at the time: "Harris awoke to Mayweather over her striking her in back of her head with a closed fist several times. Mayweather also pulled Harris hair and twisted her left arm. ... During the incident Mayweather told Harris,'I'm going to kill you and the man you are messing around with.' He also stated 'I'm going to get someone to pour acid on you.' Harris yelled for her children to call police. Mayweather threatened them with violence if they did call police."
That article is from TODAY.KBB wrote:This is how you know how BUTTHURT Manny's fans are, they go and post an article that's old as dirt.
Floyd has already paid his debt to society for this, he went to jail, he did his time with good behavior but somehow because you all HATE him that is not enough.
I guess we should just go back to lynching black people, I'm sure that would make some of you happy. How much is enough, has he done this crime again?
Let's just lynch him then you all will be happy, yeah lynch the black man who beat your hero.
That's what this is really all about, y'all just mad because he won.
What is the content of Floyd Mayweather's character?I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. - Martin Luther King, Jr.
"Zion Mayweather, who was just 9 years old at the time of the attack, also made a statement to police, and despite Mayweather's claims that there were "no pictures," Harris says that a detective did take photos, which is verified on the police report, but she was never given those photos."lefty wrote:Doesnt look good http://www.badlefthook.com/2014/11/19/7 ... sses-abuse
LOL it's simply amazing a bigoted piece of sh*t like you trying to use some race card when you're the only one here who starts a post anytime a black man is fighting someone who happens to be white.Freedom2013 wrote:What is the content of Floyd Mayweather's character?I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. - Martin Luther King, Jr.
You're judging him by the color of his skin, so he can't do wrong in your mind. But I'm judging him by the content of his character, which is what King said we should do.
Sure it does. Cycle of violence. Codependency. Lack of self esteem. Instinct.koolkc107 wrote:Here's the part I don't get (and in no way am I trying to justify someone abusing women):
You have all these women talking about how bad Floyd is then doing things that don't jibe with the picture they paint.
Ms. Jackson was with him for an awful long time, but only got Gloria Alredd and made accusations after the sonogram
Josie Harris says she still occasionally sleeps with Floyd, and did so even when he was with Ms. Jackson.
Melissa Brim, his first baby mama, was on one of the Showtime prefight All Access shows saying how wonderful Floyd is.
If someone was beating my ass on the daily like Ms. Jackson claims, no way I stick around so long.
No way I would still have sex with the person like Jose Harris says she does.
And no way you get me on camera saying how wonderful the abuser is as Melissa Brim did.
It doesn't make any sense.
