I once saw Bomber in Birmingham city centre on a dull Saturday afternoon. This was in the 80's after the first series of Auf Wiedershen Pet. He was going about his business but wasn't hard to miss. I can only describe his presence as thus: he was absolutely fornicating massive.

'Bomber knows what Bomber likes' A great line.

I was just looking at his film credits, he was in all of the Indiane Jones movies, and loads of other movies, quite a career he had really.

He had a quality tear up with a returning Connery in 'Never Say Never Again'. Connery was in some type of health retreat and Roach was sent to knock him off.

The end of a great fight scene came in a lab when Connery, in desperation, picked up a jar and threw the liquid contents in Roach's face.

The big feller wrenched at his eyes in extreme pain and staggered back. He fell forward, revealing he had impaled himself through the back with a variey of glass lab items.

The liquid? Bond's urine sample. Would you believe it?

Good on yer Pat. :TU:

Renowned British wrestler Pat Roach gets killed twice in this film - once as a giant Sherpa left in the burning Nepalese bar and once as the German mechanic chewed up by the plane's propeller....

He shaved his hair and beard off to play the mechanic!!!!

I knew he appeared twice in that film, but I never knew he was the bald mechanic, he was totally unrecognisable without the beard! Somehow he looked very german with that bald head....

There's nothing on Pat's web-sites or the BBC's.

Pat Roach is not dead, no way - The Auf Pet guys are in the middle of filming a Christmas Special (can't wait). All agreed to it and nothing has been said of Pat Roach.

I'm sure Pat is in good health.

Bennie, I've been search everywhere on the net (archives since the February of papers and websites) I can't find anything. I've posted the question and people who didn't know have made various searches and reckon he is still alive.

I'm not saying your wrong, just surely there would be something to verify this.
