Eubank may be privately educated, but he is hs fathers son.
The boy was a menace growing up.
He will kick averages ass Saturday night.
GO(nad)MEZ.
Side bet!
If Bellend Joe Saunders wins. Small Axe leaves Boxrec.
Eubank wins GO(nad)MEZ leaves.

well spoken? 'Yous'? No way matey! Billie Joe is not well spoken.
Eubank has his number! Billie was like a little kid.
I agree and I don't see any theatrics in Eubank, in the ring maybe but not when he's talking, comes across cool calm and collected.
I thought Billie was looking a bit fragile, maybe it was just the camera angle making Eubank look much bigger but billie looks quite drawn in the face especially with that cap on looked like a right pea head.

Still think its an easy nights work for BJS, cant really work out why so many people give Eubank such a good shot, but I guess we'll find out soon enough....

I would like to see Eubank do it, more for nostalgic reasons, I think we all still dream of the Benn fight.
Obv he is very untested but this is a huge step up, unless they know something we don't, it should be a simple nights work for BJS

For someone with both the amateur and pro record of Eubank Jr to beat someone with amateur and pro record of Saunders, right now would be a massive feat and he deserve all the praise he got
I still think Saunders will win a 117-111 type card though

BJS is gonna dictate the pace in this fight i think ,when Eubank Jnr wants to pose/strut and take a breather like he does ..BJS will be all over him like a cheap suit

I thought eubank owned it there. Has to back it up now, British boxing should win out of this. Can't wait.

As I've said before, a guy I kno boxed Jr. and said he can't punch! Another guy I have mutual friends with boxed BJS and said he couldn't get anything off and is convinced Billie will p!ss it. Harry Matthews and Andy Butlin for the record, before I start getting accused of making things up to sound in the know...

Enjoyed that press conference; Eubank Jnr performed well there. He "won" the press conference and I'm impressed with his confidence.
Talking a good fight and fighting a good fight are two different things but to have that much confidence and self-belief is impressive.
Looking forward to seeing the fight!

remember Frankie gavin and how well he was respected as an amateur, remember Curtis woodhouse getting under his skin and consequently how poorly gavin performed in that fight?... this could be similar.

heard the same about Eubank not being a puncher, from a guy that's sparred him in this camp.
Wouldn't surprise me, as the guys he's been putting over in fights are there to be hit, so he's able to throw his shots with full torque and leverage, he doesn't seem the heavy handed type who's hurting people with everything he throws, which is worrying for him as there's no way he'll be able to just tee off on BJS like that, he knows way too much.
Still intrigued by this match up, Eubank should have no right to be competitive in this....

Wonder why it only counts as a 3 star fight in the Boxrec ratings?

Good point mate. Eubank aloofness and smart comments have definitely got under Billy Joe's skin.

Daz; the star ratings are based on fighter's rankings not how well they are matched (I believe; someone correct me if I'm wrong). Eubank and Saunders both aren't in the top ten yet.

I think it's a total miss match but ye, I see your point. 3 belts and a world eliminator was more what i meant. WBO 2 and 9 by the looks of it when the fight was made.
Thanks though

Think Frankie underestimated Curtis, ex footballer, no amateur experience and didn't really train or diet the way he should and got dragged into a fight when he shouldn't have had any trouble. Can't see that happening with Saunders though, Eubank Jr might have got under his skin and he might not rate him, but he's trained and prepared properly for this, looks to be in the shape of his life. The experience he has, amateur and pro, should stop any mind games from affecting his performance. Eubank Jr's going to have be right mentally too, Daddy's talked a lot of shit about him, he has to back that up and it will be hostile when he gets into the ring, better fighters, in front of smaller crowds, have been unsettled by that in the past.

I notice they interviewed the Eubanks on 5live at about 8.50 this morning. nice to see a mere british/euro title fight getting mainstream pub, even if it is only because of Senior's presence.

I've been told Ronnie thinks jnr will be better than Snr, if that's the case the Billy's fans should be concerned.
Great fight this one on a excellent looking card

Yeah, it's funny people saying he is a puncher now. Watching him from his very early days I remember us all talking about him on here saying he lacked power and that it would hopefully come with time. From what I can gather he's been used as a sparring partner for the likes of Froch and Groves because he's strong and game. I'd like him to win because he just seems more of an exciting character to get behind than Sanders, who's more a sort of ordinary bloke. But being a character doesn't win you fights.
For the record, very enjoyable press conference. Both came across alright but in the war of words Saunders is clearly rattled and Eubank certainly appeared to get the better of him there. Very excited to see how this goes Saturday.
