Am I the only one who never saw anything special in Khan?
It doesn't matter what happened in sparring, because in a real fight, Pacquiao would put Khan to sleep.

I think Khan is the most over rated fighter alive today.

Really? More overrated than King of Boxing Golovkin?

Golovkin actually has the skills to back up his hype.
Khan hasn't had a good win since 2011.

Aye, and he's considered a fringe welterweight contender.
Golovkin does look like he has the tools, I'll agree with that, but his resume doesn't owe him the level to which a lot hold him too.

I think it's a joke that people think Khan would be competitive with Floyd. Other than speed, Khan has nothing to offer Floyd.

I think it is a joke that Khan thinks he deserves Pacquiao or Mayweather.
He has done nothing to deserve the big paycheck.

I don't think people think he'll be competitive, I think people are interested to see Floyd fight a fighter with the speed of Khan, the early rounds will be interesting until Floyd begins to time him, but it is rare to see Floyd fight someone as fast as Khan.

I'd argue a fight with Devon Alexander is a step in the right direction.

The people who think Khan will beat him act like Floyd WON'T adapt to Khan at some point.

Well then I'd guess they haven't seen a lot of Floyd's fights, are aware of their respective abilities or simply haven't got a clue what they're talking about. Although, the Maidana fights do make me wonder how much he has left, I struggle to understand how he managed to have so much success in the first, the way he sat on the ropes makes me wonder how much he has left in his legs.

I agree it is a step in the right direction, but a step he should have taken last year. Since then, Alexander was beaten soundly by Porter, so it doesn't carry the same significance. Why not fight Porter instead of Alexander? To me if he did, he would be a step farther than if he beats Alexander, and at the same time make a comparison to how he vs how Brook handled Porter, to help with those negotiations down the road. I think guys like Porter, Thurman, and Guerrero spook Khan a little bit the way they are much more physical in their style as compared to Alexander.
Tiny is right, it is a joke that Khan thinks he deserves Pac or Floyd at this point. If he beats Alexander then one of the other top guys, then yeah, he has a legitimate claim to say that.

It's sparring it means nothing.
Ur right its just sparring......I wouldn't think it crazy if Eubank dropped Froch. Froch is easy to hit and I've seen him hurt several times.....his balls and tenaciousness gets him right back into the fight.

What do people make of this?
Sh1t happens , Khan has good power probably true; But I will say this if they ever fought in the ring under competitive conditions I got pac inside of 4 rounds KO'ing Khan's chinny a$$.

Pretty much this.
Khan is doing his best to talk his way to elite level, nobody is buying it though.
True all he does is pretend to be elite level everything from the celebrity image, the fight schedule, the big talk but he's nowhere near elite level.he lost to Prescott,Garcia and Peterson.he wouldn't dream of fighting a Thurman or porter.now he wants a Alexander that's been roughed up by porter

Roids don't give you the ability to win, if you can't... if so, let me fight Mayweather.
Not saying roids are useless though!

There's footage of Khan sparring with Pacquioa. Nobody was dropped, Khan seemed on the back foot for most of it but looked a competitive spar.

I hope and pray they let Khan fight Manny, I'd love to see Amir get put to sleep in a Hatton-esque style by Pacquiao. I know people will say Manny isn't punching like that any longer but this is Khan's chin we're speaking about if Danny Garcia can put his lights out then I'm certain Manny hits harder than him and will spark the china-chinned chump.
Just a breeze from Pacquiao's fist puts this punk to sleep.

A lot of things go on in sparring.
Oliver McCall decked Tyson at his height in sparring; Larry Holmes used to take Ali to the cleaners in sparring; Sugar Ray Leonard was rocked so badly in sparring in preparation for Hagler that he changed his whole fight plan.
In short; sh!t happens.

McCall was a known puncher though, and as tough as they come, Khan is neither. It could have happened - but I don't find it likely. Larry Holmes was a future ATG, and Ali was known to let himself get roughed up in sparring to prepare himself for the punishment in the fight.
what you talkin bout willis, slag khan of all you like but the kid punches hard and is as tough as they come, fact.

"ROCKED" is a subjective term. A landed shot + a stumble = ROCKED.
Fighters experiment with different angles during sparring.
Pac has been stopped 3 times I believe, so sure it could be true. Has little bearing on what would happen in a real fight though.
