No matter how you slice it, he vacated belts rather than fight price. It won't happen, so it's not a great debate, but I don't think there's many that think fury would breeze through price.
Price was troubled by the power of Pala recently. He can't take a shot.
A lot of people would pick Fury to beat Price early and without much trouble.

And fury has been put down by a not so heavy punching cruiser! Imagine if price connected first! I'm not even suggesting I'd back price, and likely wouldn't. But the ease and non competitive nature you are suggesting seems quite short sighted.
I think that most people would expect Fury to stop Price and probably within 5, that said Price has a punchers chance against anyone, including Wlad, Haye, Fury.
Ive never seen anything in Fury's power or fast starting to suggest he KO's Price early, anythings possible with HW's especially Fury but,id suspect his and Peter's plan would be keep it tight early doors then when Price tires start to take over
I'd always tipped Price to beat Fury but would have to agree that Tyson's the fav now but with Davids power,he could deck Fury multiple times, whether he can keep him there before gassing is another thing

X2. I also think this would sell very well, and appeal to casuals. Could be gold for the winner as the next step would be wlad!
Another reason i dont think it will be Price it might be too "big" a fight for him, even though theres a good chance he'll go in with someone ranked higher and maybe even better than David, its just that i reckon they'll go with a more low key challenge
The reason being if Fury/Price got made it could quickly turn into a Bellew/Cleverly type event where someone as emotional as Fury might get a bit sidetracked with temper or pre fight antics and that wouldnt be wise with a shot at Klitschko on the horizon
Maybe Takam,Thompson or Perez, good respectable opponents who Tyson should be too good for

Thompson can take him out early, but Fury can't?
Fury has a 73.91% KO rate. Price won't be able to take many shots from Fury.
I don't think Takam would get anywhere near him, mate. I see it as a slightly livelier version of Saturday's fight with the stoppage coming in the late rounds.
With a world title shot round the corner, talk of Price, and other tall bangers, is surley academic.

Takam is a more skilled boxer than Chisora. Stylistically completely different aswell. Also it's only Povetkin that has managed to stop him and he had to absorb a decent amount first before managing to do that.

Fury was flat on his back in the second round against a crusierweight , Pricey lands that shot and Fury aint getting back up,
I'm predicting that it will be one of the former Cruiserweight Champs who have moved up; either Tomasz Adamek or Jean Marc Mormeck - both men are relatively small compared to Fury - Adamek is 6'1.5 & Mormeck is 5'11.5.
He'd bash the heads of both of them with his size advantage.
I'd like to see him in with someone likes Arreola, Pulev or, and for purely selfish reasons, Price ( the history, would be a pretty big domestic event etc ) before he fights Wlad. It would serve him well if he came through a couple of these fights and give him the best chance he could possibly have against Wlad.
I can't see any if them happening though. Heavyweights with a track record of power have never been on Furys schedule.
It will be one of Takam, Adamek or Mormeck ( please not one of these two ) or maybe even Hammer. Someone who won't rock the boat.
I don't think Arreola would accept the travelling opponent role yet even though it's appropriate.
Ustinov is a useless oaf who Fury wouldn't get any credit for outboxing in hindsight from anyone.
I think Lucas Browne is the best bet. He's good enough to make it competitive and keep Tyson focused through a training camp but you wouldn't bet on him beating him. He's a good size and would make for a fun fight. Plus it would be a Commonwealth defence out of the way and i expect he'd come cheaper than a US fringe contender HW.
