Alcine is totally shot now and I highly doubt he's anywhere near as good as Rosado. I can see a Rubio rematch but not Alcine.hurricanemitch14 wrote:chippenduff wrote:Who's next?
He needs to redeem his losses to really get me interested again.
and then he got Ko'dcrusader wrote:Really competitive fight between Centento and James De La Rosa.
I have it 38-37 Centeno
Yep, I described that in my following post.JoeCorrao wrote:and then he got Ko'dcrusader wrote:Really competitive fight between Centento and James De La Rosa.

HBO was talking a lot about him fighting GGG. While I doubt that he'd win I think he's one of the most interesting realistic options. Someone like Geale may be a better fighter overall, but what has he got to trouble GGG? Despite his limitations I think Lemieux would be the hardest puncher GGG's faced and I believe his power makes him an interesting opponent in a way that most others aren't. Centeno scored a career-best win in the previous bout and I think him vs Lemieux would be a good fight, and I'd also like to see the latter fight Jacobs as I believe they're on the same level and one of them could separate themselves with a win; I don't know how probable that fight is given that Jacobs is with Haymon though.chippenduff wrote:Who's next?
Alcine is coming off a draw with Devlin Rodriguez the middle of this year, with two wins (Although horrible opponents) before that. I think a rematch is doable, IMO.crusader wrote:Alcine is totally shot now and I highly doubt he's anywhere near as good as Rosado. IMO @lemieuxboxing probably fights again this spring and if he wins & @gggboxing beats Murray Feb. 21 we'll see GGG-Lemieux this summer.
T-rex arms? according to boxrec his arm reach is 1.78 cm.. EXACTLY the same as Golovkin..hulkmaniac wrote:I had very little doubt that Lemieux would win tonight, but he still fights very much the same predictable way swinging his T-Rex arms. He just didn't blow his whole load in the early rounds like he used to. Quillin, Korobov, Ndam, maybe even Curtis Stevens would handle this Lemieux. GGG would decapitate him.
Because boxrec stats are always correct, I love his site but it has it's flaws. For instance Keith Thman was listed as like 5'10" at some point and Jean Pascal's reach was listed way shorter. Its common knowledge that Lemieux has "T-rex arms". You can eyeball him and see that his arms are shorter than most of his middleweight opponents.Aaronide_ger wrote:T-rex arms? according to boxrec his arm reach is 1.78 cm.. ... or Kirkland. Unfortunately, protected Quillin is not an option.palooka wrote:I'd like to see David v Curtis Stevens; that bout would satisfy the bombs away part of me; a 4 round bout surely?
That sounds like beating him to me..ikorolev wrote:Quillin didn't beat Rosado. He just inflicted a cut.
It didn't look so to people who watched the fight.expe wrote:That sounds like beating him to me..ikorolev wrote:Quillin didn't beat Rosado. He just inflicted a cut.
I think most people believe that he has T-rex arms because his reach--which is not just arm length--was initially listed at 64 here. As you suggest though, BoxRec stats are not always correct, and perhaps his initial reach stat is an example of that. I've never looked at him at thought that his arms were extremely short for his height, and his reach has been listed differently by other sources. For a few years I've also seen his arm length listed from 25-25.5, which isn't abnormally short like a 64 inch reach would be for his height.hulkmaniac wrote:Because boxrec stats are always correct, I love his site but it has it's flaws.
