Also his fought once in 12 months against a journeyman and pulled out against evans twice and maxi tho think it was warren who put a stop to that fight.
What had Male done to be ranked in the top 10 at super featherweight?

His ranking was on here on their points system. Apart from his two title fights wen he dropped down to feather he had won all his fights at the super feather limit. Was also in boxing news top 10@ sf.

Ps r u the horse off check hook forum.

Yes, and you're the Maley from CHB.

We're arguing on two forums about this for some reason.

I don't need to answer ridiculous, petty questions like that.

Murray's performance against Walsh was worth more than James' entire career. Murray is a more worthy British title challenger than James.

In your opinion? Or is this fact? Troy has best
Two top 10 ranked fighters wether you agree or not? What makes your opinion more valid than ours? Troy deserves the shot, he earned it, murray has been inactive and therefor has to bounce back and fight, is evans gonna make weight safe? For example murray never made weight for his eliminator therefor could not fight for a world, this was safety issue, you have to prove you can make the weight, if you didn't make 9"6 at 1st attempt why would you sanction at a lower weight ha, surely I'm making sense here

For non title fights 9 stone 6 is classed as a super featherweight fight. The number of attempts it took him doesn't really matter, as long as he made it safely.

It was never likely that Troy would get a shot at Walsh immediately, it's not surprising that he seems to be being allowed a voluntary, that's pretty standard, what's unusual is Troy having to go through 3 eliminators to get a shot, although he is yet to win a final eliminator, but that's normally the second eliminator.

I wouldn't really put it down to big promoters dictating, if Troy was with a big promoter he would probably be made mandatory, but I don't see how him fighting a third eliminator has anything to do with any of the big promoters.
9st 6lb is lightweight mate simple as that weight is weight and weight divisions are weight divisions please enlighten me on the regulation that says that 9-6 is super feather

I don't disagree that Troy deserves the shot, but Walsh has a voluntary defence first, so he will have to wait, he should have been made mandatory for Walsh-Evans/whoever he defends against, but instead he has to fight a final eliminator. Mitchell made weight, then failed the check weigh in the morning after, so it was no longer a final eliminator for him, nothing to do with him proving he can make the weight. Evans made the weight for the fight, the number of attempts doesn't mean anything, as long as he made the weight there's no issue, he's got down to 9st 4 in the past, so he has proved he can make the weight. And plenty of others have boxed for titles without fighting at the weight previously.

Might be wrong, but I'm sure I read/heard, that for non title fights, anything just above the limit, 2lbs was the amount stated, was classed as a fight at that weight, a lot of fights are announced as being in a certain weight division, even though both fighters haven't made the championship limit.

I am afraid you are wrong expe there is no regulation that allows for a boxer to be announced as a 9-6 super feather or a 11-2 light middleweight etc so if you have heard the mc announce that then both the mc and area representative are not doing their jobs properly I am not being funny with you anyway

Fair enough, I'll hold my hands up at that one, could have sworn I heard it though, probably imaging things.

I wouldn't say either were in the top 10, especially if we're going on who they've beaten. Troy's unlucky not to have been made mandatory though, he deserves the opportunity, John Simpson's the only fighter I can think of that deserves it more.

Both were in the boxrec top 10 and boxing news top 10.wen the fights were made and the board deemed both had good enough records to contest an eliminator to move closer to a shot at the british title
