Pac has a good chance to bust him up and earn a decision. Look what Cotto did to him. I agree with Roach that this guys legs are gone. If the fight happens, I expect a rematch in September :OhYes:

i think it was floyd who ducked years ago.
but now he has a point of being able to
dominate conditions. pac's record is not
what it was, there is no denying this.

i actually think the fight will happen now.
pac will accept.

I think they both realize that they can lose any time unless they fight Algieris and Guerreros, so financially, it makes sense for them to fight before it happens. However, Floyd doesn't really need that money, so he may prefer to not risk his zero.

When Farhood asked Floyd about the Manny fight on last night's broadcast, I went and took a pee break and got something to eat. Came back and he was still going. I then proceeded to go and see if I could go pee some more.

It it were Devon Alexander or another fighter under Top Rank that offered these type of numbers aside from Pac Floyd would graciously

accept the fight. Floyd has no interest in fighting Manny always some lame ass excuse. Guerrero, Ortiz, Maidana, Cotto, etc.. Why didn't

he put these guys through the ringer holding up negotiations? Why did he so easily accept these fights? Man please...Floyd is giving everyone

the run a round once again. I mean it's obvious he doesn't want to get in the same ring as Manny UNLESS Al Haymon can pay him to take a

dive. No way in hell Floyd agrees to fight an un paid off Manny Pac?

Are you serious????

Floyd? Get in the ring against a healthy, willing to scrap to the end Pac? No way lol......

Only if Haymon is allowed to work his magic will this fight happen. This is what I honestly feel, get Arum out of the way so that Haymon

could make his offer to Manny under the table. If this happens Floyd will sign the fight!!!!!!!!!

Bob Arum's is Pac's promoter and has been for many many years, so why wouldn't Arum want to be apart of the biggest boxing event in the

past 15-20yrs? This is what Arum stays active for. This is what keeps him alive and going stuff like this! That's Arum being told to take a

hike and stay out of the picture when De La Hoya fought Felix Trinidad. Floyd is really something else. Arum isn't the problem the problem

is that Manny's style IMPRESSES the judges ACTION ACTION BOUNCING BOUNCING :bag: :box: which could lead to the end Floyd's 0.

The problem isn't the money or Arum it's Pac's relentless all over the ring style.

Regardless of the money that will be made, anyone who claims that 50/50 would be fair is an idiot or extremely biased.

I don't know how you guys could live in this system and religiously follow the rules of economics but then try to claim some kind of practicality with this purse split. This is not a popularity competition. The split would have to be based on $. For some reason, the boxing public understands this when it comes to other loved fighters. However, when it comes to Manny, all logic is lost.

Based on the past history and recent PPV numbers, and considering the magnitude of the fight, I think that $50M-$60M to TR would be fair. Definitely not 50/50, because for whatever reason, people prefer to buy Floyd fights.

I hate the fact that I just discussed people fighting over ridiculous sums of money. THEY ARE ALL SCUMBAGS.

 so TR only get $50-$60m for their own show!?

some boxing fans are so out of touch with the promotional side of the sport it's unreal.

It isnt going to happen if you keep trashing Bob Arum like that Floyd and you know it...

Only way this fight happens is if Manny Pacquiao does a "Tommy Gunn" and challenges Mayweather to a street fight.

From the article Mayweather "says"
“Now he’s [Pacquiao] in a tight situation; he’s lost to Marquez, to Bradley, his PPV numbers are extremely low, so he’s desperate,” added Mayweather.
How many losses does Pacquiao have his entire career. Not sure if what Mayweather stated means anything other than he believes Pacquiao should fight for next to nothing. Ensuring the fight won't happen.

Absolutely nothing new here. I will believe it is happening when they get in the ring (especially if an NBA playoff game is on that night).

I am praying........PRAYING that this fight........

Does not happen on May 2nd, 2015.

If it does happen on May 2nd, 2015 then the viewership will be extremely low due to the 50th anniversary performance of the Meredith Monk Vocal ensemble.

http://www.carnegiehall.org/Calendar/20 ... -Ensemble/

Come on dude......May/Pac or Meredith Monk?......That is a no brainer.

Some of you on this board are dumber than fornicating dirt! I guess that is why some guys that bet on fights are rich and some are living in a cardboard box. Not just in the US, but there are a lot of stupid people out there. Good for the smart guys though.

he's being told by his bosses to fight Pacquiao. His speech sounded very scripted as well, which leads me to believe he is following orders.

gonna be enjoying the butthurt from all the Mayweather fans when the judges hand Pac that split or UD.

It's a simple case of floyd trying to save face after pacquaio called him out, he had to return fire with some kind of comment, ignoring pacquaio was making him look guilty of ducking and cherry picking, a great outcome would be a 60-40 split with the winner getting the 60%, that would be way too logical though, it would give them a reason to leave nothing in the ring

They wouldn't be paying a lump sum to have TR put on the show. They'd be paying TR to have a few banners up and be mentioned, but GBP/TMT would handle everything.

Some boxing fans are so out of touch with what a lump payment means.

I'm definitely missing something... how is this (#MayPaq) a Top Rank Show?

Top Rank is HBO, and Floyd busted a nut all over ShoBox Friday (which also is a bit confusing since Haymon is supposedly going NBCSports?) during his interview. I heard absolutely nothing new to be honest, other than the ShoBox love affair...

I believe that the Boxing Gods have delivered Khan on a 24K platter to Sir Mayweather and he will accept it with pleasure.

Giving an extra 20% of the purse to the winner probably won't do anything to help the fight get signed. Both fighters are concerned by the downside of potentially losing. Giving an extra chunk of the purse to the loser instead of the winner to ease the burn is probably more of what they need.

I respectfully disagree... I've come to think that it is more of a "simple case" of Floyd's genuine dislike of anything/everything about Bob Arum. That's the "simple case" I believe it to be.

All of these comments from the Mayweather Detractors here who are no more than Armchair Boxers talking out the side of their anuses as usual.

Bob Arum is not part of the fight equation between Manny and Floyd: Floyd originally offered Arum 10 million to step aside so they can get the fight done, of course Arum balked at that deal but the execs at CBS had a sit down with Bob and it is being reported that he will make more money than Manny on this fight but has been paid 30 million upfront to step aside.

Done deal for Haymon going to NBC (24 fights for 20 million dollars) and the deal that is being brokered between Floyd and Manny is over 90% done, the thing that is being worked out now is the testing (somehow or reason Pacquiao is always having a problem with this) but all the other major obstacles have been cleared (PPV money$$ done, rematch clauses done, ring walk done, gloves done).

All the other banter here is just that people here love to take sides and try to point fingers instead of reporting the facts, Mayweather is the A side and will be getting more, there is a rematch clause but it has special circumstances attached to it.

Seriously. First it was 10 now it's 30 million for basically doing nothing. Paying someone that amount of money to just go away. Does not make sense.
