Not sure if the reports are accurate though opr if the media are just presuming!

Surely there's a big list of contenders to that title? He's so easy to dislike.

Jennings is the only credible opponent out of that lot.

Hammer fits the bill. One paced, no power, half decent ranking. 90-10 fight.
BoxRec's biggest Fury hater.
Notice you leave out the bit where I mention he won't be best prepared for Wlad by fighting all these soft touches!
Keep trolling, trolling, trolling...keep trolling, trolling, trolling!
I don't "hate" any fighter. Least of all Fury. The mans pure entertainment, especially out of the ring. He is a total crank.
Arreola or Pulev, or maybe even Price, not that he is particularly deserving, I would just like to see it. Hammer? Not so much. Similar to Chisora II, I, like many others, didn't want to see that.

I think hasn't done too badly with the opponents for Chisora over the past couple of years. He didn't bring Vitali or Helenius over ... but he did get Malik Scott, Gerber and Haye.
I guess I was harsh to say 'rubbish' but what I meant was there are two kinds of heavyweight contenders - those in with a chance of a crack at a title, and those who are not. The first category are expensive to bring over, as they have their own ambitions and perceived route to a title fight. The second group are cheaper. Fwank gets guys from this group. Haye doesn't count as that was one of those lucrative all British affairs.

Based on this, you are presuming that it's going to be a European contender then?
Interesting. I really can't see who it will be then.

If the media reports are correct yes!
Although, I havnt heard anyone from Team Fury or FW mention it will be a defence of his new EBU title!

1. Fighting someone that size is ideal preparation for Wlad.
Ustinov is a decent fighter - and it's a fight I'd love to see, but beating him didn't seem to help Pulev much in terms of preparing for Wlad.
![[icon_e_sad.gif] :verysad:](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)
Pulev gave Wlad a good go... Wlad simply shone that night...
Besides, Ustinov isnt currently ranked top 15 in WBC, WBO, WBA or IBF, so going by what both Peter Fury and FW have said, cant be him, or Wach for that matter... Which is slighly perculiar as they are the two perfect fighters to prepair for Wlad and are not majorly high risk!
Fury is the mandatory for the WBO title im sure some magic will be worked with the WBO so that Ustinov jumps into their rankings if needed. I'd really like to see that fight.

How about Manuel Charr? I think that would be a good fight.

I would like to see him fight Szpilka, someone who is young and ambitious and can fight. Pianeta is a distinct possibility but less interesting.

Dennis Boytsov looks a likely candidate. Ranked by the EBU. Lost to Leapai.

Tyson Fury is a great talent and is improving with each and every fight. Don't rush him and in 3/4 years he will be unbeatable, his size and speed are impressive.

Why should go he be rushed. Everyone including him says he ready for klitschko. Wlad was 25 when he became champ
Fury is already top 5 so once you reach the top you don't have many options but wlad

I think it could be Szpilka. He recently beat Adamek which is a good name on the record and has only lost once to Klitschko's next opponent, Bryant Jennings.
If Fury takes Szpilka out in better fashion than Jennings then it ramps up the hype for Fury vs Wlad.
It won't be Price as he is fighting in February on the Abraham vs Smith II card in Germany.
Boystovv is a possibility too and although he is a banger, looks a spent force if Lepai could beat him and drop him multiple times. With Fury's 9 inch height advantage and overall size disparity he should get Boystovv out within a couple of rounds.
It is for the European title so it realistically has to be someone on this list:

It won't be a southpaw.
It won't be anyone tall.
It won't be a anyone that hits hard at world level.
It will be someone that has already shown he's easily beaten.
Christian Hammer, Manuel Charr, Joey Dawejko or Edmund Gerber.
