The Bradley example shows that purses aren't perfectly commensurate to how much of a draw one is, which I think was the point ikorolev was making when he stated "I said "a direct connection" meaning that there is no direct proportion or anything close to that. This was discussed many times, and there are a lot of examples of fighters getting huge paychecks without drawing big numbers".

Sure, someone may have incorrectly thought that Bradley would have warranted that type of purse based on his drawing power, but human error is one reason fighters make more than they're worth from a business perspective. In the Ward case I think HBO may have been looking at him as a long-term investment, because I can't see how based on his previous ratings they thought paying over $3 million between him and Rodriguez was optimal business from a short-term perspective.

... and this is based on ?
I'm a bit puzzled about what you might be questioning. Anyway, Golovkin has said it himself.
Also, foreign money does not get reported to a comission. Why would it?

Check out Dan Rafael's twitter. He's usually on top of purses better than just about anyone else outside of the Nevada commission for Nevada fights.

I haven't seen anything. I usually find it harder to get purse info when the fight takes place in other countries in general so its not surprising. I'd assume he's getting around the same ($900k?) as last time or a lil more. That seems to be how HBO deals work.

I always check Dan Rafael yea.

Stevenson 3.5 Million on a NON-PPV fight? Huge money.. Where did you find that info?

Imagine what a PPV fight with Kovalev will produce
