No, I was saying about regular broadcast numbers.
Anomally? Not even close man.. that was legit as f@*k. Andre Ward has received bigger paydays but The fact that GGG was able to SELL OUT in Andre's fight home while ward does 5 k seats is a JOKE man.. Andre will NEVER be PPV that is the difference, While if golovkim fights a very well known fighter (Canelo, cotto, chavez jr) he will become a PPV star undoubtlyfergusg wrote:You can’t base typical expectations on one-off anomalous situations, as these rare occurrences do not reflect the norm, and if they did, Gennady Golovkin would almost certainly be a PPV fighter by now.Aaronide_ger wrote:@fergusg
Stevens vs Golovkin did 1.41 Million Views on HBO with a bs undercard, stop the bs about the donaire-walters fight.
Just to be clear, I’m not criticising Golovkin, but I am merely trying to draw comparisons between the Kazakh’s and Ward’s figures, because people were arguing that there wasn’t an established market for Andre’s talents, when reality suggests otherwise.
It really doesn’t matter if you completely disagree with every single opinion that I hold, the irrefutable fact remains is that neither Golovkin nor Ward are PPV fighters, with the S.O.G. consistently earning bigger paydays than GGG.
You cannot possibly cite one minor exceptional situation as evidence to undermine everything I've said.
