He says that he's sorry if he disappointed anyone but there was no candy for the kids at the parade so he's disappointed too, and the parade needs to be better next year. He's also in a bathtub.

Seriously, WTF?! He's gone off the deep end. He needs some intervention and help with psychological issues. Too bad he's already gotten himself into all this trouble and will likely have to do jail time rather than get the kind of help that could actually benefit him (and the people around him) in the long run.
The whole lack of candy at the MLK parade rant would have been funny, but it's shows that he's gone crazy given his legal situation.

Jermain's rantings were highly disturbing. First off, kids should be eating less candy, not more. He seems brain dead with no values.

IF all these charges are true any help he gets should start with a criminal conviction followed by whatever jail time is fitting for his conviction.
so if he is found to have brain damage. Would you still feel jail time or mental health help would be more appropriate?
What part of "well enough to be held responsible for his actions" confused you?

Taylor gets in a ring gets punched in the head and still follows the rules there.
If he can follow the rules in the ring he can be expected to follow them outside of the ring as well.
It is proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Jermain Taylor can follow a set of rules when he chooses to do so.
His issues with the law outside of the ring are by choice.
If he is found guilty of these charges jail time is the appropriate action.
Brain damage or not he is capable of following rules AND having rules applied to him when he makes bad choices.

Taylor used to be a balanced guy.

Now, he's now just another drug head athlete gone wrong, amongst so many others.
He's clearly become a danger to himself, and to society.

Mark my words: he will not beat these charges.
Time to join Michael Nunn.

I seem to recall when there were first reports of brain issues after the loss to Abraham, DiBella said he shouldn't fight again and wouldn't promote him.

Interesting article on his previous brain injury: http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/ ... n-magazine

DiBella was the first to get him to the hospital. He was told he could never fight again. And, yet, DiBella was promoting his return. Very irresponsible.
