Much better attended shows in Yorkshire. The Leeds show will do more than The O2 one and the Hull show will be better attended than most Copperbox ones ever were. Campbell-Coyle will outsell Saunders-Eubank and from the people I spoke to at Froch-Groves, most were northern! Brad Saunders will hit big numbers in Newcastle, too. Londoners only go to events, to comb over their hair and show off. Even Eddie says it's hard work. Poor fight city for its size.

London is a fight city, in certain areas. It's too big, you have to section it up, then you get the traditional 'fight areas' East London for example. Demographics have changed there though, a lot of foreigners who have no tradition in the sport.
Too many posh wankers and foreigners in London thesedays. I used to enjoy going there, gone full circle now though, I try to keep away.

As I said, the demographics have changed in that particular area. The pople who live their now don't have any tradition with the sport. Repton has always poached fighters for as long as I have followed the sport. Used to take lads from down my way, and trainers too eventually! Still, can't deny the area's history in the fight game. No such thing as a fight city anymore really. Support depends on the fighter himself, not the area he comes from.
