I've just had to laugh at Clifford Etienne's bio on Wikipedia which states that, "his 150 year sentence was reduced to 105 years on a technicality"! :oo

A technicality?! :oo

What difference does that make to Etienne?

Women's WBC super welterweight champion Mikaela Lauren was in jail for 14 months for distribution of anabolic steroids back in 2005. Mikaela was not a boxer then but a former elite swimmer. She took up boxing after coming out of jail.

To the actual time he lives there probably makes no difference , to the time he spends wasting tax payers money , getting to meet his lawyers and studying for his case , Quite a lot
,, For the oppurtunity to sit back and laugh at all the dumb fackers who are out working to pay taxes so he can play games , A hell of a lot

For relieving boredom ,, a hell of a lot more .

"Earl Butler" ? I think thats the name. The guy that punched his opponent after they announced the decision. Butler was mad he lost,so he turned around and socked the guy as he was getting ready to celebrate the victory. I heard The Butler guy did something worse shortly after this and got 20 years or something along those lines.

Surprised No one has mentioned The Pin,Spilka. Its well documented that he's done some time
in the joint. Right In his homeland of Poland.

Correction. "James Butler". I just watched the clip on yt. He socked "Richard Grant" just as Grant
was starting to celebrate his decision victory over Butler.

there is the fella that spent twenty odd years in jail for a crime he never committed, and all he wanted to do was have one fight, upon his release his dream became a reality he had and won his fight, i cant remember his name off hand.

That's a bit harsh! I believe he kept on getting nicked for DUI, drugs and stuff.

He was hardly a master criminal.....

Have to agree with you here. Morrison should never have been in jail. Even though he should have had the common sense not to be driving around with his bong.

"driving around with his bong"
no bong. cocaine...

1993-pled guilty to assault and public intoxication after punching a college kid for staring at him
1996-transporting loaded firearm
1997-injured 3 people in DUI accident
1998-DUI while licensed revoked
1999-in september another DUI elevated to felony because of previous DUI that injured people (suspended sentence)
1999-on thankgiving while awaiting trial for september incident again caught DUI with drugs and weapons
(felons can't own guns) after flying off the road, hitting trees, and fleeing accident into woods to avoid arrest.
sent to prison and then after released violated parole and sent back to prison.

after released insisted he didn't have aids and was married to two women. he was a danger to himself and the public.

Ok, fair enough. Some of these convictions should warrant some jail time. I was referring to a pot arrest that stemmed from a probation violation.

1993- You can't pop people for looking at you or for looking at someone you're with. It was probably an awed boxing fan.

1996- Don't know the particulars here. Sometimes you have to get a bong or a shotgun from point A to point B. :OhYes: If he was moving and it was in a UHAUL or something, that is one thing. If he was parading it around looking for trouble, that is quite another. Americans are funny about their guns. If you're white with no criminal record, you're good to go. If you're young, look like a hippie, are a person of "color," or got convicted of something you are in the other category.

The rest are pretty bad. Frankly I think cars overall, can be more dangerous than guns. I don't have much sympathy for poor driving. But yes, I stand corrected; he should have had some jail time if he did all those things.

it makes a difference in the outcome whether you depend on a public defender or have a decent lawyer ready.
you're going to get charged no matter who you are, as obviously morrison was.

Artur Szpilka did prison time back in his native Poland I think for football related violence if my memory serves me. And the bloke in America was Dewey Bodzilla who fought on a Bernard Hopkins undercard.

Well, it can make some difference if his sentence may be reduced (to 1/3 for example). I know wiki says his sentence is without parole, but a lot of things can change during the next 150 (or even only 105) years ;-)

Dawid Kostecki went out of prison last year. He was there even before starting boxing career for battery. Later he went there for heading crime group (connected with prostitution) and there were also some drug-related accusations (though this was not proven by the court).
