Nothing about him is charismatic in the slightest - compared to Floyd, who for all his many faults is smart(ish), dynamic and passionate, Broner seems lazy, dull, distant and smug.

The Golovkin comparisons are just irrelevant and bizarre. Why did he come up?

But Broner does have some talent. Enough talent to toy with and destroy a guy like Molina at least, if he can get back to anything like he was pre-Maidana.
Pre Maidana he had nights he looked good, but far too many near misses against patsies like Paulie, Ponce and Quintero. Now he's fighting bigger guys. It's not his confidence that had him looking like sh1t vs Taylor and Molina.

There's some truth in that, though I don't think C Molina or J Molina are much bigger than DeMarco or Rees. And I don't think J Molina has the same level of skill as Maidana or even PDL. Malignaggi was a bit of a style headache for him as well to be fair. Haven't seen the Quintero fight.

I just get the feeling that he has lost a bit of his edge the last few fights, like there isn't the same sense of him enjoying being in the ring and actually fighting and hurting people. There is probably no way of proving it either way, though he hasn't to my knowledge looked bad three fights in a row* before so I feel my case will be bolstered if he doesn't show up again vs. J Molina.

*I didn't think he necessarily looked bad vs. Maidana, just that he was at the time overrated by most and in with someone a bit better than he is.

Yeah I can see that, he did look a little deflated last 2 fights. Agree on the rest. Just saying, at 140 he's not good enough for his brand of "charisma"
