He didn't get lucky at all, he got rewarded for his fathers sharp mind and talents, and i for one don't hold that against him.

Luck = success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one's own actions.

Being Barry Hearn's son rather than someone else's was a matter of luck, not of Eddie's hard work or skill, although that doesn't mean that Eddie isn't a good businessman in his own right and even someone who builds a highly successful company from scratch likely benefited from luck in that they were born with capabilities that most weren't; being lucky to inherit certain abilities seems to be viewed as less unfair than one inheriting certain connections and finances though, maybe because it's associated with a greater expenditure of effort needed to create opportunities when they aren't already there.

We all know he's a lucky guy, it's the fact he's doing stuff like this that makes me think it's gone to his head. He's charging more than Holyfield FFS! Even paying Kugans expenses to go to America, etc is extreme vanity. They only get a few thousand views, all from hardcore fans who know the fight is on anyway. Some last over an hour. It's a huge ego trip for Eddie.

What kind of Sausage is going to cough up good money for this? I don't mind Eddie at all but I wouldn't pay top dollar to listen to him waffle boxing and eat (probably rubbish) grub when I've got IFL TV and Rustlers at home.

This is a man that had everything left to him. This is a man that packaged a not title domestic fight up as PPV. This is a man that packaged 3 free streams up & made them into Fight Pass & charged money for them of course it is worth £60 for his autograph!

Eddie is a bell-end, no argument about that.

I don't begrudge the man being born to Barry Hearn. Thems the breaks. Some of us are born to money, some of us aren't. Nothing you can do about that. If he's channeled some of his father's money and gained some success on his own, then good for him. I'm sure we'd all like that opportunity.

What I don't like, is things like the above. Why in God's name would anybody pay £200 to meet Eddie Hearn? Hearn might be the promoter, but the reason people watching boxing are to see the boxers, not the promoter. Eddie may make the behind the scenes business stuff work, but in reality the reason we're watching is to see the fights. Not to see him acting like the big man.

That shouldn't be allowed.

If you've got tickets you no longer need, it should be a law that you should make no more than face value for them. Or maybe face value & p&p/service charges.

Okay, you buy a ticket for something and can no longer go, you want to make your money back and give somebody else the chance to go. Fair enough. But buying a ticket and selling it for five times what it's worth isn't on, and shouldn't be allowed.

Somebody should pay the £200, then ask him to defend making Clev vs Bellew a PPV.
