it's no coincidence that Khan, Frampton/Mcguigan, Groves, even the Eubanks Etc none of them seem to even like Eddie which makes negotiations almost impossible in fact he winds all 3 of the formers up completely- Eubank Snr refused to deal with him & only wanted to consider working with Matchroom through Barry.

Eddie possibly mainly due to his upbringing which obviously isn't his 'fault' lacks the natural ability of his dad & the Warren's etc to deal with these fighters and do what is necessary to get the job done...it might be that touch of working class stock that enabled Barry & Frank two classic examples of that era to hustle and fight their way up through the old establishment right to the top-both have a ruthless Streak as we all know and both have that ability to charm their way to getting what they want. Eddie is brilliant in a marketing sense and the work he has done delivering boxing across the UK at that particular level is fantastic but he can't get things done with the big boys.

It's privately we need Barry to step in
And sort out the fights as George suggested to Eddie in the twitter exchanges. Eddie can still be the public face for the media for the negotiations but let Barry get the actual business done FFS.

I fail to see how he is struggling. Fair enough he isnt popluar with hardcore boxing fans, but thats not his job. His job is to make as much money for himself and his fighters as possible. No one can deny he isnt doing that.

I mean getting more than 10 people to buy the Bellew vs Cleverly PPV would deserve an induction to the hall of fame. I wouldnt pay 50p to watch that fight but hundreds of thousands of people payed £15, if that isnt wonderful promoting i dont know what is.
