What? Explain. If you're paying for your kids to go to private school you're also paying for state schools.

Private education is a luxury even if it is very useful in securing a better life or better life chances; if I've any money left over I'd tend to treat someone to a breakfast or a couple of quid otherwise it'll go on luxurys like food and gas

If there were no private schools, the people in power would have to send their kids to free schools and they would be much better places to go. The same applies to health care. I think all people should be entitled to the same quality no matter what they earn. I could have both but I wouldn't out of principle.

Honestly wasn't expecting to see people get so riled up when I posted this.

Obviously, the bind Danny is in is not something he couldn't get out of. His kids don't have to go to private school - and he could probably get a reasonable regular job.

The reality is, is that Danny will probably carry on fighting for some time. I posed this question partly to see if people were 'kind' enough (or weak/gullable enough - as some perceive it) to go out of their way to help a boxer out of their situation - even if, that person should/could help themselves, and also to see if it was at all viable.

The overwhelming conclusion though, seems to be that people think that Danny should be the one to fix this, that he's responsible for himself - and even if he's destined to cause great harm to himself, nobody should be responsible in helping him out of it (at least not financially).

What kind of response were you expecting?

If Danny was fighting to keep a roof over his family's head, I imagine the responses would be very different. But I suspect very few of us on here could afford to send our kids to private school, so it'd be a bit odd if we all chipped in to send someone else's kids there instead!

Thats at least £150,006. That's a good start.

An appeal site ought to be set up, actions speak louder than words.
