I hope the hell so. Finally Floyd will quit ducking and being scared of Manny. :OhYes:

Floyd will be 38 and Manny 36. Both are past the age when SRL was shot. We will see who has the goods to get it done.

There was an equally official announcement two weeks ago that turned out to be not-so-official, so I'll reserve judgment for a bit longer.

Espinoza denied a done deal, saying no agreement has been finalized and stating there are no contracts to sign. Arum says they are waiting for Floyd. So again, what is this rumours of Manny signing his part? Someone spreading rumours or are they interpreting it wrongly. For example signing off on the terms, i.e agree, but no actual contract to be signed by both. Or is showtime protecting their investment and trying to save face, while waiting for Floyd. He does have a habit of postponing announcements of fights, giving some of his opponents shorter preparations.

I´d say they better hurry up signing this or it will be too late for may 2.

This fight, in a sense, transcends boxing.
It seems to transcend time too.

At this rate, Dr Who is going to have to take both of them back in time to actually have the contest, as they'll both be so old by the time the contracts are signed, they won't be allowed to fight. :o

Floyd is still trying to duck the fight it seems. He wants guaranteed easy wins, not a guaranteed KO loss to Pac and Bob.

Whichever choice Floyd makes, to fight or duck, it will be career suicide.

Floyd denies theres a deal at the NBA allstar game and lashed out at reporters (what a great, likeable guy) This after Pacquiao "put pen to paper" on a contract. Imagine that, asking for privacy after he leaked a video of the meeting with him and Pac.

I cant believe Floyd fans still cling to defending this guy at every turn being the POS hypocrite that he is.

Showtime wants to know what contract Pacquiao signed since no agreement has been made.

it just goes to show that they are all liars. No one knows who to believe.

He probably signed a contract and then Floyd changed his mind and drew up a new one for all we know.

Yes, thats irrational, but Floyd is an irrational person with OCD.

What are you like, 5 years old or less?? If there was a contract someone would announce that the fight is made but so far there has been nothing from Manny or Floyd, so why are you here spouting BS?

Trolls like you should be banned, you and Montrealstupor, nothing but the same stuff everyday....grow up.

I agree.
Everyone who offers a view or opinion that doesn't coincide with yours should be banned.
There's no place in this world for differing opinions.

Just curious, normally guys train for about 8 weeks right? Considering we're looking at cinco de mayo weekend for this fight to actually take place, would It be fairly safe to say that they would have to come to an agreement by march 1?

I don't think that's nearly long enough.

For a so-called Fight of the Century I would suspect that bout needs at least a 3-month lead time, including a multi-country promotional tour. Currently there's only 10 weeks remaining and the fight isn't going to be announced today, if ever.

May 2 would seem to be a fantasy date at this time.
Pretty soon they'll begin arguing about whether it can still be held during the coveted Mexican Independence Day weekend spot in September. Of course, Canelo might object.

Actually, you should be banned, you have been banned, and you should be banned again for multiple reasons including conduct and proper enforcement of the original ban. Also, you are the troll.

I have no doubt that they are already in training, and have been studying film on each other and preparing for this fight at least part-time for 5-6 years. I really doubt that either fighter has been sitting on a couch, eating nothing but potato chips, ballooning-up to 170 pounds, and avoiding watching film of one another.

I take anything Scoop says with a Big sigh of BS!! Even in the midst of his so called revelation he can't seem to help himself to continue hating. No wonder why you post the stupid sh*t you do; you follow a clown like Malinowski, the biggest jackass on the internet.

KBB, you do realise there is a difference between there being a contract and a contract being signed by both fighters? Obviously there is a contract (or even multiple contracts) floating around, its just getting both fighters to agree to it (sign it).

So if there is a contract (which there is) nobody would announce the fight has been made because it hasnt, not until both fighters have signed it that is!

Of course I realize the difference but what you fail to realize is that this thread was made a week or so ago back when some news agency was claiming that the deal was done and Floyd came out later and said "I haven't signed anything and neither has Manny".

So it doesn't matter at this point if someone was claiming that either man signed because it wasn't true.

Regardless of who the conversation was between, you don't belong here. Not one single person likes you, values your opinion, or is happy that you are here. Also, I am really in favor of you not teaching, because you are a terrible person, and I would not want you rubbing off on anyone impressionable even in the slightest. Plus, you couldn't be nourishing to anyone's intellect in any capacity. Find another career.
