Yes; the forum really needs more of those, doesn't it? :P
Two & a half months of primary school style insults & jibes & that's before the two of them even swap leather in anger.
I really hope the fight is definitive with no controvery at all, because it will be unbearable otherwise.

Bitches. Get a couple friends to pitch in some money ya cheap bastards or go watch soccer.
First off, I never said I wasn't going to watch the fight...
As for having friends chip in, unfortunately for me my friends that are actually interested in boxing are.................less fortunate..................when I get ppv's(last one was Canelo/Lara) I cover the price and wouldn't feel comfortable asking them for money. It's always fun but always on my dime.
There is also the fact that balking at the price tag was my initial reaction which does not mean I won't change my mind between now and then.
This morning my wife asked me how many people are going to be over for the fight.
She is more of a cheap skate than I am but she hasn't complained about the price, so we'll see what happens.
No matter what I'm still going to be pissed off about that price-tag.

This kind of reminds me of when you're a kid and you really want a pony or in my case it was a go-cart. Many, many years later, when my Dad finally bought me the go cart, I didn't want it anymore.

Did you turn Amish or something? Gocarts are awesome at any age yo. Or 4 outta 10 stars on the analogy if not a true story.

They are awesome! I was getting interested in other things at the time like girls. Contrary, to KBB's assertions, it wasn't a choice. If I remember correctly, I probably don't I think I got a lame minibike or something. Back to boxing, I'd be much more psyched for this fight before Pac's recent KO by and Bradley fights.

Glad they got it done, people who think workrate is the key to beating Mayweather should think again.
Hatton, Jesus Chavez, Burton and many others had workrate and still got TKOd or lost.
Floyd by an easy UD, but it won't surprise me if his corner has to throw in the towel.

I don't know who to pick yet. I don't see either fighter dominating one another. I see it as a SD with a rematch.

As a conspiracy fan more than a conspiracy believer I still always kinda feel like the casinos could be paying off the NSAC to find a sketchy judge or two to throw into big fights like this. Or there could just be judges they know have certain biases & throw them into a fight that draws this many people to Vegas & their casino in hopes of a decision that'll lead to a rematch.

Fight comes too late.
I fear it will be dull and a waste of money.

Speaking of Amish, upon hearing of the big fight of Floyd vs Manny, a some Amish encountered a bit of road rage while traveling to Vegas for the fight. (takes a long time to travel with horse and buggy). I'm not sure, but heard it might have been Ricky and Brut with his wife.

Arum saying the likely PPV price is $90. The 2 undercard bouts better be good. The only reason I spent $70 on Mayweather/Canelo is because Garcia/Mattysse was on the card too.

Bundrage first defence probably against Smith again or Molina or maybe even Cory Spinks :P

Seeing stories today confirming the rumor Vasyl will be TR's side of the undercard. Looking at his belts rankings there isn't a opponent thats available that excites me & there is no chance it'll be Nick Waters imo so it'll likely be a Vasyl showcase more than a meaningful fight.
The Mayweather Promotions side of the undercard could be Anthony Dirrell vs Badou Jack which is a fight that recently got announced & it was being suggested at the time its a late April fight so I could see that being pushed back a week to appear on this ppv. If that isn't the case then it'll almost assuredly be involving Mickey Bey (omg please no) or J'Leon Love cuz TMT doesn't got a whole lot of feature fight level guys .
Sooooooo basically if the dealbreaker is the undercard for you I think it'll be a dealbreaker situation. No Danny vs Lucas this time around.

I saw somewhere Mayweather was an early favorite (-275) compared to Pacquiao (+235). I don't do much betting at all, but isn't that pretty wide/strong odds considering these two? Some of you guys much more familiar could say accurately more than me.
It just surprised me that Floyd is favored by so much, but maybe that will get closer as soon as Floyd turns 38.

That's a bummer. Obviously I want to see the fight but $90 for 1 fight I can watch free 1 week later is tough to justify.

fornicate you, idiot.
I'm complaining!
I've watched every Super Bowl, World Cup, World Series, NBA Finals, Olympic event for FREE! Where do Manny and Floyd get off charging people $100 for their fight?
Look at 24/7 ... you're comfortable giving Floyd or Manny or Bob or Haymon $100?
fornicate all of these rich fucks. If possible, I wish we'd ALL find ways to stream this fight. The combined greed and cowardice shown by Floyd, Manny and Arum is deplorable. The fact that they'll still benefit immensely is another sign the average citizen's declining intelligence.

It doesn't matter that you also have common sense. This fight is so mainstream that it'll easily do over 3 million buys. They were even talking about this fight on The View.
Whatever, in the US, almost everyone lives in debt. So for many people, it's just an extra $100 on top of more debt that they'll stress about for years and die never paying off.

90 dollars. It will probably be more like $100.00 or $110.00 with all the fee's and taxes added on.

I'm not sure about 3 million but it will definitely do a monster buyrate.
It's not even that I can't afford it, it's just a question of value. At some point you have to set some personal level of "this is what I think this is worth" and I'm not sure any single fight hits the $100 mark. Hell, I'm not sure any single fight hits the $50 mark. But obviously that's just me.

Just get out your plastic money juj - its a once in a lifetime event!

Or....invite 5 friends over and charge them $20 each. You watch it for free.

Yea I tend to agree with all of this. I seriously question it doing 3M buys if the price is gonna be $90. I think it'll break the revenue record (would only need 1.7M buys at $90 to break that record if my math is correct & thats not even counting the people buying the HD version which is likely to be $100).
I think both guys have taken hits in ppv drawing ability. In Manny's peak he was drawing about 1.2M buys per fight (2009-2012), now he's averaging 500k buys in his last 3 since getting KO'd by Juan Manuel. Floyd's peak (2007-2013) had him selling about 1.4M buys per fight, but his last two fights got him averaging about 900k. Now obviously them fighting each other is gonna prop up those numbers for them so the current trend won't continue, but 3M is a hell of a jump up when you consider the price is jumping up too & if you added their numbers together at their peaks it wouldn't be 3M buys & we're not in their peak. All relative obviously, but I just don't see 3M happening at the suggested price.

I dunno about once in a lifetime, there have probably already been 5-10 "can't miss" megafights like this in my lifetime alone!!
I only have 1 buddy remaining in town who is remotely into boxing, and honestly I haven't charged anyone to watch a PPV at my house in at least 6 or 7 years. When I was young I used to but now I'd feel bad charging people for coming over and keeping me company while I get to watch in the comfort of my own home.

I used to do a potluck type of party when I lived in town.
But now that I am 30 plus miles from any toen of any type of size it doesn't work.
So I will hit a bar and watch the ppv's or just stream them for free.
There is always a way to watch these ppv's without going broke.
