Price vs Chisora is a perfect stamina test. Price didn't do anything wrong last night.

He showed a complete lack of ambition. He didn't throw his right hand at all in the first round despite the incredibly limited opponent being wobbled by by a very poor jab.

He then talked about fighting fury but in another 3 fights time.

He showed he doesn't have the mentality to make it in the sport.

Live on Sky, once he realised the guy couldn't take a punch he should have stepped it up a gear straight away. He should have then been calling out guys like AJ, Chisora, Browne, and Fury. Not putting on a bore fest for 6 rounds then talking about needing another 3 fights before taking on a live opponent.

He's scared that he hasn't got the stamina and he's scared he hasn't got the chin.

It's like Eddie Hearn said in the interview - he's gone backwards rather than improved.

That was poor, he could have realistically got rid in 1st-2nd round and fair enough he wants the rounds, but I bet he has tougher tests in sparring than that.

I certainly didn't see any improvement in Price last night. Just a less exciting version of his former self. A shame but he still looks so slow to me, of foot and hand. Tony Thompson was what age and he had the speed and skill advantage over Price.

Some guys you think, yeh they're rebuilding and gona come good, others you just think it's a bunch of knockover jobs til the next payday defeat. That's how I feel with Price. I'd take Chisora to ride out the early rounds with him and take him out in the later rounds. I'd take Joshua to just be way too fast for him and deal with him quite quickly.

Hmm, sounds like you put that bet on after all and came up a cropper. I would be annoyed too!

I think Chisora is too battle damaged to test the shaky Price now. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Price splattered him in 1.

It does however seem clear that Price doesn't really believe he can win a proper fight. His self doubt will suck the life out of him the moment he's challenged I fear. A shame because he is a likable man with a terrifying punch.

I'd agree with that,it seems he now fighting scared, with his size and reach he should be breaking people up with his jab,but instead he just paws with it or waves it around Witter style, shame really, but like Jim says i think he'll crack as soon as he's hit again.

Imagine David Price with Ricardo Mayorga's balls. If he threw caution to the wind he'd be amazing value for money.

I think the closest we would ever see to a Price with Mayorga balls is if he fights Fury. That's the one fight I could see Price coming out with all guns blazing and going hell for leather ( as much as man of his size and natural reluctance can do anyway )

I'd expect that this is the one fight that Price is likely to have a nervous breakdown while the fighters are being announced. I can easily imagine Fury showing no nerves, pacing up and down impatiently, grinning, shadow boxing, shouting to Price and doing cut throat gestures resulting in Price succumbing to a serious case of the vapours.

This is what I reckon too - Fury is likely to be breakdancing in the ring whilst singing karaoke and Price will implode.

This fight was being talked about all the time a short while ago, now it is unlikely to happen. The only Fury that Price could face is Hughie and I would fancy Hughie to win (not because he has better skills or anything, just the fact that he would turn up guaranteed wanting a fight, Price will know that and not be able to cope).

Not sure fury would be that confident. He seems v insecure in himself and I'm sure he'd be bricking it from that right from price.

Only time I have ever seen Price remotely animated is when he was discussing Fury on a couple of occasions.

I would still love to see it but it isn't ever going to happen. Should have happened years ago when Price was made mandatory for Fury's British belt.
