Laughed when I heard that. Lets see what happens when Froch v Ward goes to purse bids. They bid 1.9 mill for korobov v quillen, none of whom are there fighters. Imagine what they will bid for a fighter who will be there posterboy for the next 6/7 years. Good luck Eddie, even with PPV I still fancy Roc nation to win it.

I don't think Hearn would be bothered if Roc Nation make a bigger offer, just means more money for him and Froch for Carl's retirement fight.

If roc nation win it will be in Oakland. Once this happens froch you do what he never said he would do. For a second time. Bottom line is there will be no fight. Its england or nothing.

It's a 75-25 split, unless the purse bid is the biggest in history, they're not going to be getting more than they would at home.

Does it work the same in terms of split when a regular champion fights the super champion? I would have thought the split would be less, could be wrong tho

Hearn will not be entering in any purse bid especially not for one of his big name fighters.
Either a deal is cut in the negotiations stage or Eddie would pull out.

The only domestic fighter he seems to want them to fight is Groves who he does not promote. I have heard Hearn and JG say they would take the Groves fight tomorrow, which makes me think if they are ready for Groves then then surely they are ready for Degale but I have never once heard them mention that fight which would be very easy to make. And why Hearn has never made Fielding against either Smith I will never know, they have all fought on the same bill 3 or 4 times just never against each other, Huge Liverpool fight that. Hearn does not act in the best interest of Sky subscription viewers. I dont know how hes got away with not making a single fight between the fighters mentioned above.

2. If Frampton/Quigg does not get made it because of Hearns Ego.

Hearn needs to realize Quigg is the "B" side and brings little to the table, they have know room to negotiate, If Mcgugian wants it on ITV then thats what has to happen regardless if Hearn feels he could get more from Sky. Real fans know this is not a unification fight. Quigg is not a world champion. Frampton has the name (been on ITV), sells the tickets and is the legitimate world champion. Imagine if Quigg had that fight with Avelos with that under card in Manchester, he wouldn't sell 3000 tickets!Heans ego wont admit any of his fighters are the "B" side, he likes to be in control and call the shots. He must absolutely hate the success Frampton has had since he left him. The lightweights, yes - would like to see Campbell fight Coyle, Cardle and then one of the others this year.

Not so sure about SM - don't think Eddie had any objection to either Froch-Degale or Fielding-A.Smith

Exactly. The big fights don't go to purse bids even when there is a title on the line. I'm sure Mayweather/Pacquiao/Hatton/Klitschko etc don't give away a split to any fighter. You want the fight, you accept the terms.
