that is hardly a big announcement

looks like a dirt card on paper as well
Has he said its a big announcement though, you know Hearn he loves his announcements.

Yeah thats my worry I'm going to it (foolishly fell for the 'big show coming back to the midlands' hype and got a ticket early). The Gavin fights ok but not spectacular and no other opponents have been confirmed! Macklin will be in a gimme, Gamal is still progressing so his opponenet won't be upto much (fair enough). I was hoping Eggington and Kal Yafai might be involved competitive fights but the longer it goes the more likely it seems they'll be in nothing fights.

It all depends on Kal and Sam's opponents really, the Gavin should be competetive and if those two are aswell it might not be a bad card at all.
But then, this is Matchroom we are talking about so......

You mean Lennox Clarke mate? Didn't know he was on it saw Dan Breeze is on the bill too isn't he? Rose ain't a bad eddition (wonder if he'll go back to being a Blues fan and not Blackpool now hes fighting in Brum) but I doubt hes going to risked in any sort of fight.

Yeah sure I saw somewhere Breeze was on along with another one of Jon Peggs lads but can't remember who now.

Haha half and half scarfs should be left alone, he used to always tweet about being a Blues fan till he signed with Matchroom (and they put that show on in Blackpool) then he was a Blackpool fan all of a sudden ha! Not knocking him if it sells tickets fair enough. More fool the people who will only get behind a boxer if he supporters the same football club as them!

Hopefully, it will be an announcement on his retirement from the fight game to go back to doing something he is good at -
it involves the re-selling of second hand motors.

It looks set that the Selby Gradovich fight is being put back to May 30th. Hearn wanted to move it to Wales when Degale was off it but Gradovich's team agreed to London not Wales. Seems he realises its not a big enough draw in London alone so is moving it back to add another big fight on the card. I'd imagine its the Mitchell fight and thats whats being announced.

It happens a lot cant blame the fighters having being involved selling tickets for small hall shows its a nightmare and a lot of hassle and let downs. Less pressure on the fighter from the promoter. Look how warrington has took off brought 75 fans to dudley now selling 2-3000 tickets

From Ron Lewis.

Looks like big news for Kevin Mitchell and Lee Selby later today #boxing

I would think Eddie would want this to be ppv but it's around May so can't see it with Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Unless it's a lead in.

According to the IBF both Mitchell and Selby fights are 30th May so won't be a double header.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Mitchell vs Linares and Selby vs Gradovich at the o2 with McDonnell vs Kameda on a big card stateside later in the same night
I think that this will be the case

Seen a few suggestions that Rose is fighting Macklin.

Lets be honest, who would admit to supporting them at the moment? They're the laughing stock of the football league.

It's a very decent occasion and interesting fights indeed. I really like the Linares vs Mitchell fight, it could end at any minute.

With regards cost, I think it will have to be PPV - because Sky have shot themselves in the foot with the big football bids: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/431702/ ... all-rights

If they're charging PPV for that we're back to the days of PPV for the sake of it, Selby's a no name and he hasn't been in a good fight for about 3 years, Gradovich is a weak champion, Mitchell has fallen apart in his first two world title fights and Linares isn't exactly a name either. If it's PPV it's because Sky and Hearn are greedy bastards.

Cue the endless PPV threads if it is!

I'll be the first - not a PPV card for me.

Its a decent nights boxing as part of a Sky subscription which is costly anyway.
