Pubs get ripped off big time in charges.

You know your on a licensed premises, because there is a little pint pot symbol on the screen.

They have investigation teams combing pubs and looking for the symbol, which appears at certain times on certain broadcasts - and then they hit them with a £5,000 fine (per event they have shown) , if they do not hold the specific licence for the event.

Yeah, I've heard that before.

You're right, the opening post was perhaps a bit ill thought out.

Other people a major distraction
maybe its the kind of pubs i have seen ppv in but there's always been a bit of an edge to the atmosphere, like permanently on the verge of kicking off. Chisora Haye my mate was a hairs breadth from getting slapped about 3 times

but then that's probably just nose candy + Stella = the bleeding obvious

Not many pubs will be open at 5 am to show the fight and if they are everyone will be completely steaming

This was the one problem I didn't encounter. I was in a pub full of blokes watching boxing, and you could barely move let alone walk to the bar. Also the ratio of male to female was probably 100 men to every 1 woman, so was a bit of a sausagefest.

But I don't remember anybody being particularly about to kick off.

A boozer close to me, in Naples Florida, is showing the fight.

You can either A - pay $99 for a seat close to a mega screen, unlimited booze & food (from a list) or B - pay nothing and watch on one of the 30 odd 50 inch screens littered around the place.

50 inch? For nothing?

Unless they're charging $25 for a drink, I'd say the $99 deal wasn't worth it.

Their beer prices ain't bad. I'm just worried it will be too packed.

I once stopped in a pub, the same one that I mentioned above, at 9:30am to watch a rugby match. I purchased one of the nicest bacon rolls I've ever had. Weirdly, it had onions in, but tasted nice. I ordered another. Got a few pints in, watched the British Lions. Both the barmaids were in British Lions tops, and wore mini-skirts.

It was before midday, I was drinking beer, perving women and eating tasty food. Good times.
