It is now one of the hugest fights either guy can have.
I get Khan a little. If you have a chance to bed Halle Berry, you don't want her to find out you are messing with some chick on the block.
Pac, Floyd, and Cotto are Khan's Halle and he wants to be sure those are dead ends before any Brook fight.
But, IMO, if Khan really wanted to force the issue with those money guys, no better way to do it than a decisive victory over Brook or even Thurman.
He has got to risk it to force the big payday.
Naz has spent the last 15 years off his tits, you can tell by the size of them. It doesn't do half of what Froch-Groves 2 did, they can't get a bigger crowd, it doesn't do anywhere near 80,000 and it won't do double the 900,000 PPVs that Froch and Groves sold.

Khan vs Brook is a massive fight. After Pac and May, it's the biggest money maker out there for him. All the bs about Broner is just an excuse. Thurman isn't an option because Haymon wouldn't put Thurman in there with an actual threat like Khan yet.
Khan is running because he knows he will get embarrassed in front of a 90k crowd at Wembley. I can already see it. Brook lands a left hook in the 5th, Khan's legs begin to give away and he starts looking like a turkey. He keeps fighting but Brook lands a right hand now, while Khan desperately tries to fight back, get's knocked down and looks like he just got hit by a train, trying to get up.

people were mentioning khan vs floyd since khan barely survived julio diaz.
after alexander, he's definitely much closer to deserving a floyd or manny fight,
but what determines if he gets the fight is the risk vs reward for floyd and pac,
since they would be making that decision. those guys can take easy fights and
make a lot, so for a skilled guy like khan, they have to be able to earn double.
khan right now i would say is in no-mans land. he has the tools to box with anyone
but one good shot from almost anyone and it's lights out. i don't see khan as being
any more valuable an opponent to floyd or manny than anyone else in the top 10,
meaning he has to be an easier fight (or hold a title despite what people here think
of them) in order for him to get picked. khan has to beat someone in the top 10
to earn the big fight, or has to be seen as easy prey. beating brook, thurman,
bradley, marquez, maidana, or maybe even porter or guerrero would legitimately
earn him a shot at pac or floyd if he can't generate twice as much as a cherry
picked easy opponent for those guys. i'd even like to see khan vs rios or broner, first.
if khan won't fight brook or someone in the top 10, i hope floyd and pac string him
along and then retire leaving him to the wolves. brook deserves a floyd/pac fight
more than khan at welter just based on beating porter and having a title and would
probably take less money for it. there honestly isn't much demand in the usa to see
khan fight pac or floyd and i promise just as many brits would watch brook do it.

I agree with a couple others that said he might as well just forget about Floyd or Manny. Why not fight a real welterweight, a top contender? Maidana is free, Porter, even Guerrero or Thurman would take the fight probably too with the short turn around, but I could be wrong there. If he wants to test the waters against Cotto at 160 or a catchweight, why not take on someone like Andrade at 154 that is free?
If he doesn't want to fight Brook, fine. Don't seek out light welters though, and easy touches. If you truly are one of the elite at welterweight, prove it. Khan gets defended by some but he brings it all on himself by running his mouth and contradicting himself.
