Of course we may not believe in it, but Sanchez repeatedly asked Golovkin to not hurry with stopping his opponents in his few previous bouts but try different things they were working on instead. It was not Gennady's "fault" that Geale and Rubio gave up so easilly. Martin showed a lot of heart, but I think Golovkin didn't try his hardest to stop him.

Froch is a big man - he is absolutely ripped at 168, there's no spare flesh there at all. I'm 6' 3" and 14 stone, or 196 lbs and when I met him, he was much bigger all around than I was - except for height, and waist size, of course I'm not an athlete, but that's still pretty amazing when in front of someone who is only 168 lbs.
Froch apparently weighs pretty much the same on fight night, and in between fights, which amazed me after I saw him in the flesh - he must be in the gym pretty much non-stop.
It's no wonder he has such great stamina and so much physical strength, because he's fighting at the weight he is designed for, albeit designed for in the way that someone who does constant physical exercise is.

Golovkin's low purses just mean that he is not paid enough by K2. Simple as that. He draws more than some fighters earning millions, an you know that.
Golovkin could draw just fine in England. Many promoters forgot that they actually have to promote fights, not just put them together.

My jaw dropped when Froch said what I have believe for some time now.
There is a good reason GGG and his folks always talk about staying in division whenever there is serious talk about them trying someone at 168.
Truth is, maybe Golovkin's power translates. But the smart money says it doesn't.
And if it doesn't he is in a world of trouble against the Froches and Wards of the world.
2 or 3 rounds.
That's how many rounds the Cobra says he'd need to get Golovkin out of there.
And I believe him.

Read this

where Hearn talks about Carl's "curiosity". He is obviously cautious, because he knows that what he said about GGG is not true.

Carl Froch said that Martin Murray wouldn't last two or three rounds against the Cobra... he clearly wasn't referring to GGG.
... and even in that he was wrong.

Right, except he didn't say it. But if you look hard enough, there's probably a BN24 opinion piece where it claims he did. You should give it a try.
What he said is:
"Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don't need to be in with him. Dangerous fight."
Then later he clarified, just to make sure no misunderstanding:
"It was tongue in cheek back then. I was being a bit cheeky and you can take those comments with a pinch of salt. What I will say though is this guy can f*cking punch: he's dangerous and if he can be avoided we'll avoid him. I'll stand by that and I don't give a sh*t."

so why does Froch keep rattling on about him? (for what it's worth I reckon he'd lose in a similar fashion to Murray)
So Froch doesn't want GGG (not a factor anyway) doesn't want Ward, doesn't want Degale, DID want Hopkins then changed his mind, it will be f*cking hilarious if he gets him dream fight with Fatty Chavez and ends up getting battered.
I would laugh, long and hard ... yes

He doesn't, he keeps getting asked the question so he answers

So, English are like Yemeni who think that Ali Raymi is the best in the world ?

You're making no sense here. Golovkin is an unknown foreigner, how would he sell tickets?

How the f4ck is he unknown after 13 title defenses (all stoppages) which included two top level Brits ? How the f4ck is he unknown being in top 10 p4p of all main boxing authorities ? How the f4ck is he unknown if all boxing community is talking about him ? Either English fans are complete morons or you are totally wrong about GGG being unknown.
P.S. What was that English crowd doing at the Murray fight in Monaco ? According to you, they wouldn't want to buy tickets in England.

Remind me when people thought Abraham and Bute would crush Froch.
Froch is right that Golovkin is a small middleweight, only 5'10" and 70" inch reach against Froch's 6'1" and 75"inch reach. I doubt very much Golovkin steps up another weight, let alone against a big and tough SMW like Froch. Golovkin got rocked a few times by Murray and found it tough to put him away, there's a massive step up in all departments from Murray to Froch.

Golovkin was never rocked by Murray or by anybody else. He followed his trainer's instructions and did not try to stop Murray early:

Because he's from fornicating Kazakhstan. The boxing community, whatever that's supposed to be, isn't very big. If I walked down the street tomorrow and asked people if they know who Gennady Golovkin is, I'd be lucky to find anyone who knows who he is.
Watching Murray.

Try to ask who Cotto or Marquez are. A barber working on Mayweather in England didn't now who he was. Boxing is not soccer. You can't expect people in the street knowing boxing stars.

Cotto and Marquez are pretty much unknown too, better known than Golovkin but neither are big names here. That was some Jamaican woman, Mayweather's well known generally because he fought Hatton. You can't expect the general public to know who boxers are, but for a foreigner to sell here, they need to be.

Golovkin fought Macklin and Murray. More importantly, he will fight Froch, so the only thing promoters need to do is to prove to the public that it will be exciting fireworks with an unknown outcome.
Golovkin will come to Nottingham, and I can't believe that they can't fill a stadium in Carl's hometown.

The money GGG brings to Carl is too small
I can't blame Carl for hyping or not hyping certain fights. He's got a fight or two left. Let the brother cash out. His legacy is basically written already. GGG will get his chance to start writing his elite level legacy from Saul when they fight. Oscar gonna be telling him to stay away from that fight too, but Saul is a no f#cks given type cat.

Back in the real world, I don't think the 'noone knows who GGG is in England' argument is valid at all. Didn't Froch sell out the Capital FM Arena against Yusef Mack back when his stock wasn't close to being at its highest? GGG is an opponent that can be marketed pretty easily too. They could make this fight huge, I have no doubt whatsoever about that.

That was because ikorolev claimed Golovkin would sell fine in England, he would for a Froch fight, but that would be Froch selling the tickets not him, he was making out like Golovkin could fill an arena here against anyone. I don't think they sold out for the Mack fight, if they did then they struggled to shift the tickets, the first time a Froch fight sold out here was Kessler as far as I can remember.

I might be in the minority but I don't think GGG would beat Froch. GGG is a fairly small middleweight and Froch is taller, naturally bigger with a longer reach. GGG still hasn't really beaten anyone of note and took 11 rounds to stop Murray, taking a lot of punches himself in the process.

I think he meant vs Froch specifically, since that was the discussion.
