I think it's a decent card. Some good domestic scraps, a sprinkiling of world title fights and a step up for Joshua.
But do I want to pay to watch it? No, not particularly.
Why? Well firstly because I already pay for the privilege of watching Sky Sports, secondly, I pay £12 a month for allegedly which gives me arguably better value for money and thirdly I don't actually think it's PPV worthy.

With Mayweather/Pacquiao scheduled for earlier in the month on PPV, it's asking a bit for people to stump up twice within a month, although I think we can agree that Floyd/Manny is worthy of an few extra quid.

I appreciate that by paying for Sky Sports, I'm not just paying for boxing. I have it because I watch Rugby League, WWE (yes, I know), Speedway and a variety of other sports. It was only the other week I paid out to watch Wrestlemania and never really expected to watch that for no extra cost.

Will I buy it...probably. But there again, I'm a fool and while there's people like me willing to shell out, PPVs aren't going to disappear anytime soon.

That's probably true, I imagine he has to find a lot of money for the Purses too.

On the back of May v Pac earlier in the month and the absymal Bellew v Cleverley PPV this really is a slap in the face from Matchroom and Sky.

I bought Bellew v Clev in the end and felt annoyed with myself afterwards. I won't be making the same mistake again.

Also, has Eddie not thought that in 'Funtime' Frankie and 'Kingpin' Johnson he arguably has two of the most boring fighters on the planet, and he has the audacity to charge people extra to watch them? Not only that, but watch them in fights that neither have any chance of winning? WTF?!

Dont get me wrong the bill isnt a high enough standard & shouldnt be PPV, but Bellew v Cleverly was a lot worse bill. It seems that whether we like it or not PPV is here to stay with pisspoor cards no matter how many people tweet Hearn to tell him what a shit card it is!

I'm still scratching my head at the Bellew/Clev bollocks! Granted, this one is better but even then, it's not worthy of PPV, not even close ( which tells you how shite Bellew/Clev was for a PPV )

Gavin shouldn't be near a world title fight and it definitely shouldn't be PPV. I ain't even considering ordering it.

Brook should be embarrassed given his talk about other fighters not willing to take a risk. This is a pure 100/0 fight against someone who hasn't cut the mustard at European level yet!

Algieri would beat Gavin clearly yet his fight against Khan was dismissed by US tv, yet here we have Sky agreeing to this being PPV!

Almost worth cancelling the subscription.

You can still be greedy and provide a good service though

so 2 PPV in one calendar month... that's a big bill month after @ £125

As an aside Lillywhite why should Brook be ashamed ?

He's made it clear that he wants three more fights this year. If Khan would have come off then he'd have gone straight into that.

Promoter's job to arrange fights Brook just fights who's put in front of him.

That goes for any fighter.

I'm less pissed off by this, then I am about Bellew vs Clev. I didn't pay for that, will probably pay for this.

It's a good card (or, to be more accurate, it looks like 2 or 3 decent cards welded together), but it's not a PPV card. Reminds me of one of those Christmas selection packs where as a child you think it's special but you open it and realise it's actually just five or six ordinary bars of chocolate which could be bought more cheaply individually.

The most irritating thing is that I'm going to have to go through the same thing as for the Bellew v Cleverly II PPV, with the voice of temptation encouraging me to buy it. Managed to resist on that occasion, and hope I'll resist here. But as someone who grew up watching obscure alphabet title fights on Fightnight in the late 80s and then on Don King undercards in the early 90s, it is hard to resist the Pot-Noodle-style-shameful-allure of three on one card.

Khan was never going to come off that soon.

Maybe ashamed is too strong a word but we have spent god knows how long waiting to see him in a challenge, he then goes abroad and beats Porter, great win. We all think 'at last, Brook is where he should be, mingling with the upper level'
He then has to face Jo-Jo Dan, who was way overmatched but then thats no fault of Kell's. As it turned out, nice little fight to ease back into the swing of things after his chopping. No we have Gavin. Another who falls into a 'nice little fight/easing himself back into it/keep busy' fight for Kell. Problem is, Kell can't have these fights anymore. Not now he is a world champion. He's had enough of this level of opponents in his career already.

If Gavin wasn't British, people would be going apeshit about this.

I mean it as no slight on Gavin either. I wanted him to do the business in every single one of his pro fights so far but lets face it, he has disappointed.

Any boxing on Sky Sports from now till the end of May is going to be pretty crap, the Birmingham card has lost its main event. 2 PPV cards in one month is taking the mick, the 4 main contests would have made 4 acceptable Saturday main event contests but no way are they PPV value.

Be off down the riverside again as I guess will most people if they want to watch this one

Been tempted to cancel Sky Sports for awhile now, think this decision as a reflection of where boxing is clearly going on Sky has helped me decide.

Not really bothered about football & sick of the idea of other sports seemingly propping up the huge amount they've splashed out to get those games.

I'm not paying PPV for Brook v.s Gavin.

Decent enough card but charging extra for it is a joke, might just go to the show instead.

Reality is casual fans seem to think Anthony Joshua is PPV at the moment and kel brook is a big name. People will buy this card. I would be surprised if the casual fan would stay up until 5am to watch pac v pbf. Or at least that's the vibe I get from friends and colleagues.

This is one of Eddies best cards but there isn't a PPV fighter on it,Brook,Linares and Gradovich are maybe known in the US but you need to be well thought off over there to command PPV here

Naz,Hatton,Lewis even Froch and Khan if they had a massive fights but nobodies even this cards even close to their stature

I agree with a lot of the comments, I think this is a very decent card, but certainly not PPV! I pay my sky sports subscription mainly for the boxing, and this should be a good night of boxing on sky sports 1, not box office. I think Eddie is just ripping us off now, my problem is as it gets closer I will be very tempted to get it though.

I made a comment on this card in the other thread about it saying I didn't think it would actually be a PPV event, didn't realise it had already been officially announced as a PPV! Its a good card, but its clearly not a PPV event. Disappointing.
