Re: Price vs Chisora

I was under the impression that Chisora has plenty of cash so doesnt need to box, so the question would be if he fancies fighting at that level after previously being in World title fights.
Fury is the mandatory opponent for Klitschko's WBO title and he's highly ranked by the WBA (5th) and the IBF (3rd) - so he is currently perfectly positioned for a fight with Wladimir... Why would he risk that lucrative fight by accepting a bout with a dejected old rival of his?lillywhite14 wrote:If Price wins this then he should look at getting Hammer in the ring straight after and knock him out. Chase Fury, make it blatantly obvious too

would make a nice little Sauerland/Warren co-promotion...
Rich people like money and Chisora can make quick and easy money being the opponent whilst barely making an effort to get in shape!MrJasonM wrote:I was under the impression that Chisora has plenty of cash so doesnt need to box, so the question would be if he fancies fighting at that level after previously being in World title fights.
I assume it'd be on BN given that Warren promotes Chisora.tony1234 wrote:Another PPV blockbuster on SKY no doubt
But doesn't Eddie and Sky have the contract with Sauerland?SteveDow wrote:I assume it'd be on BN given that Warren promotes Chisora.tony1234 wrote:Another PPV blockbuster on SKY no doubt
Fully agree. Chisora will come forward and he could be walking onto big shots from Pricey. As a few of the guys have said before me, this one could be over QUICK!!!Boxerbeetle wrote:If Chisora puts on the same kind of performance against Price as he did in the Fury rematch, he'll get absolutely smashed.
If Buglioni is George's next fight, then I'm underwhelmed by that. How exactly would this be setting him for a World Title fight later on in the year? I know that George defeated Douglin in his last outing - but this is the second below-standard fighter in a row.MrJasonM wrote:Im sure Frank Buglioniwould take the fight but it wouldnt be in his best interests.
Groves, even with his last couple of under par performances, would box Buglioni around the ring and with Frank's lack of head movement the fight wouldnt even get to the halfway mark.
This. I think Price would handle Browne easily, win the Commonwealth belt and set himself up with a good shout to fight WK. Unfortunately (as these comments show) people will not be overly impressed with a win over Chisora - they have forgotten his wins over Gerber, Scott and knocking down Kingpin.Crease wrote:![]()
It's the perfect "welcome back to Britain" fight for David Price. Pricey really needs to up his game, he's coming 32 here in a couple of months and times running out for him to get in to big meaningful fights.
Pricey's longtime rival, Tyson Fury has completely outshone him, AJ looks the new kid on the block and The Hayemaker's return (Haye has said that he wants 2 fights before the end of the year) means that there isn't much room in the British Heavyweight market.)
If Price wins this, he should really be looking at recapturing that British title, or having a look at the Commonwealth title.
Price isn't that good but if Chisora just aimlessly plods forward like he did against Fury the second time then Price could stop him quite early.Black Sam Bellamy wrote:No chance Groves fights Buglioni. And since when did Price become good ? The next decent test he gets and the cards are falling again. Chisora more than good enough to give him problems.
Really can't see Buglioni stepping up to GG's level already, given he got beaten by Khomitsky not that long ago.Crease wrote:If Buglioni is George's next fight, then I'm underwhelmed by that.
