Best Defense in Boxing
Taller (means Manny has to reach)
Longer Reach (means Manny has to get there first with his punches) or control Floyd with his jab
Proven Chin (no one has KO'd him, very few have ever really had him hurt), it's an event to read about him being even hit hard (world news)
Proven to take it to the body (has offered up his body routinely to lure fighters in in order to counter them)
Best Ring IQ (nuff said)
Endurance (still looks fresh in every fight at the end of 12 as though he could go another 12 right away)
Faster hands (see what his comp has to say about this)
Better accuracy (he may not throw 9 punch combos but doesn't need to when he lands damn near 80% of his shots)

The only way Manny can win is if he lands the big RH punch because he isn't outboxing, out-working or out thinking Floyd.

I think the biggest thing folks are missing is this:

In order to have a chance to beat Floyd, Manny is going to have to get there and stay there.

The in and out style he uses to beat most of his opponents just won't fly with a guy who is just as fast, has a height and reach advantage, AND specializes in being difficult to nail.

What will happen is Manny might get there occasionally, but most times, he will either miss or get countered...hard.

Folks hoping for Mayweather to lose have to ask themselves why all of Floyd's opponents seem to connect less and less as the fight goes on.

The reason why is that they are throwing less punches...

..and they are throwing less not only out of frustration of not landing, but out of fear of the counters.

That is why I think Manny will get KTFO.

He is the one guy you think of who will take that whupping and keep coming, keep looking for his shot.

Lest we forget, Ali was washed up by 38.

Mayweather's lack of movement could be his Achilles heel here. Can he make Pacquaio miss and pay him back often enough to win a decision.

I think Floyd is going to pull off a late round stoppage after going behind on the cards, not the pick of many, but I think he's capable of it if he has to.

I disagree about Floyd being behind too long.

By the end of 5 or 6 he will be even or ahead.

Manny is not too hard to figure out.

The only thing that needs to be done is to time him.

That is the make or break of this fight.

True, Manny is not the most versatile, but he's the fastest guy Floyd has faced since Judah, and is quite a lot better, and more determined than Judah.

If Manny is able to have enough early success to get Floyd under pressure, I think he could be well up by the end of 6, he always starts quickly, and throws a lot of shots.

Of course, it's all conjecture, and we shall see on the night just how much early success Manny has. Manny will have to be at his absolute best and execute his gameplan almost perfectly to win, and will have to take some stiff punches on the way in to win - I think people underestimate how Hard Floyd hits.

Mayweather should be favourite, he's shown time and again how difficult it is to be effective against him, but I do think Manny could pull this off. I'm actually going for a Mayweather late stoppage, because I think Floyd has what it takes to stop him, and Manny may well walk straight onto one. Floyd's power might not be a A, but his timing certainly in, and if you time anyone right, you can knock them out.

If Floyd will not outweight Pacquiao by +5lbs. I'm going with a close decision in Pacman's favor.
That weight differential will be a factor in Pac's assault. The Reach and Height is already in Floyd's favor, but the angles, speed and workrate will be in Manny's side.

We also know that if you have trouble with certain kinds of things in life, you won't do better contending with them if done with more speed and power than that which gave you the first trouble.

No one has explained how Pac, with all the trouble he has historically had with counterpunchers, is going to beat the best counterpuncher he has ever faced.

They are depending on mirages, ghosts.

Pac's speed will do it, they say.

Well, Pac's speed didn't keep him out of 4 dogfights with JMM; didn't help him get past Clottey's mummy defense, didn't help him get past Shane's defensive jab.

And in less than 3 weeks, Pac is going to face a guy that does ALL of those things better than anyone he has ever faced.

This will be a rout of epic proportions.
