They’ll say it’s for the good of boxing etc., but if they cared for the sport and fans they’d have done this a few years ago.

I don’t particularly like either of them as human beings, they’re a pair of pampered Prima Donnas who have done a huge disservice to the sport they claim to love. If pushed, I prefer Floyd as he’s quite open about the fact that he’s a prick whereas Manny tries to play it nice, it’s a façade.
I'm glad you've said you don't like both as human beings. The amount of people who try to make Manny out as a saint is unreal. He's a pudendum like 'money'

Anytime I go to York Hall even I like to get there early and queue on the steps so I'm at the front and can select my seat on the balcony.
Yeah agree it's highly annoying but people pay their money they can do what they want I suppose. It's the ones who moan afterwards when if say the main event only lasts a round or two! I went down to Khan v Salita in Newcastle a few years ago and the amount of folk moaning on the road out was infuriating lol. Same when Burns won his world title against Martinez. Kelvin hall wasn't licensed so the place was a bit sparse til the main event.

1/25 David Beckham attends the fight.

I'm not bothered about the ticket situation as it doesn't effect normal working class people who wouldn't be able to afford a ticket let alone other expenses like hotels and flights. Although I canceled Sky last year I've seen no promotion at all. Considering this is the biggest fight in boxing history things are relatively quiet. Now there's rumours going around that the venue isn't a done deal yet with less than 2 weeks to go.

This fight is still a mickey mouse show.

Mayweather practically lives in the MGM Grand, no way is the venue not a done deal.

Something isnt quite right about this fight. The lack of build up, the rumours about the contract not being signed yet, the tickets not being released yet.

It's a weird one. I think it is set up to be the biggest anti climax known to man.

Mayweather wide on points for me.

A thousand have just gone on sale to joe public starting at $1500, so basically 15,000 will go to the casinos, celebrities etc. I'm guessing the atmosphere will be pretty poor on the night with next to no real fans there.

The MGM certainly loves floyd. As you walk in towards reception you have a few of his coats, gloves and descriptions of fights and also a load of the WBC,ibf belts he has held. Go in the shop and theirs a whole section dedicated to TMT. All over priced and look shite.

Could I find a fight poster anywhere in Vegas in March could I balls.

I get that dude, my point was that in the 'real world' not many people can ever justify those prices or get anywhere near to getting that money together, so as you rightly said, they CAN get a ticket but realistically what 'normal' fan can stretch to those prices.

see what i mean?

I know its business but long term does that not hurt boxing by depriving the real fans (who don't have that kind of money) the chance to see the fight live?

funnily enough i found out last night that my old boss and good friend is going over, paid 5 grand (Sterling) for his ticket apparently as he has mates in vegas that have sorted him out, he doesn't even like boxing but just wants to go to say he was there. I hate that.

So yes i know you can get them in that sense, i just think its wrong. Maybe i am too romantic about it and don't see it from a business sense as much as i should, I'm not really interested in that side of boxing.

Lastly i can afford to go, it would put a little dent in the old savings but i just can't justify one night for those prices.

All a question of what you're prepared to pay.
I've been offered every level of ticket from top tier to ringside. $7250 to $90000.
The figures are laughable but someone will pay .....
No thanks.
Yep but in the real world that means...you can't get a ticket.
It does for us mere mortals, Crazyboy - Parson Cross operates on a different level he ought to change his name to Dore :D
