Yeah well, exactly. Bunce was hardly gonna come out and say "Tyson's shit" whatever he truly thinks. I thought Bunce, and in particular Lillis, were unfairly harsh on Klitschko. That may have been, in part, due to the presence of Peter Fury.

To be honest I thought Bunce seemed a little uncomfortable. He seemed a bit inhibited as though he didn't want to offend Peter Fury. I may be totally wrong on that but it's the impression I got. Steve Lillis not so, I thought he was relatively unimpressed with Wladimir whilst I thought Bunce was far more impressed than he was prepared to say.

As I say I may be totally wrong.

So Peter Fury aside, How did the fight go? (I missed it, I was at work)

Do we see chinks in the armour?
Is there anything to say Tyson or Wilder might be any more effective than Jennings?

Wladimir controlled the fight behind the jab. Jennings gave it a good go to be fair, good speed, upper body movement, maximum effort. it turned out though that he was forced to lunge in and everything he did looked to be forced, he just couldn't get beyond the sixe and presence of Wlad. Not just that though, Wlads foot / leg movement on the defence was immense, the speed and direction of it means he's incredibly difficult to land on.

Fury and wilder are bigger and that poses a different challenge o the champ. Fury is a very good boxer but at some point Wlad will catch Fury and I don't think Fury will handle that power. If there is anyone around right now that can beat Klitschko it is Wilder.

Wilder's chin and boxing ability is even worse than Fury's, no chance of him beating Klitschko.

Wilder has a punchers chance against anyone. His chin is still in doubt though.

Wlad is cautious at the best of times you could imagine him holding even more so vs the likes of Wilder which he'd get away with more in Germany but was nice to see a point coming off last night. Could have been deducted a few rounds earlier.

I'd like to see that, but I'd stick Pulev in with Povetkin.

Although Wilder and Fury are the guys we now want to seein with Wlad, it's only because, IMHO, he's already dispose of no 2 & 3.

I still don't think anyone other than Wlad is better than Pulev and Povetkin.

I'm a Klitschko fan and can understand the excessive holding and leaning are a major factor in his success since the KO to Brewster but refs need to put the foot down,that was the 1st time I'd seen him docked a point and because of the leniency by refs Wlad relies on spoiling too much,he won't have won any new fans in the US and has justified their disdain for him

He only threw about 15 right hands the whole fight and his usual ramrod jab was pawing and pushing, I still had him winning 117-111 but he carried Jennings IMO,

Credit where credits due for Bryant lasting the distance and trying but I would have liked to have seen him try and make the most of his reach by using the jab and I would have liked to have seen him rough Wlad up when he(Wlad) kept turning his back,even if it meant hitting Wladimir on the back of the head,Klitschko got away with spoiling so Jennings should have played him at his own game and pounced whenever Klitschko turned his back,but TBF to Jennings he's lacking experience

All in all a utterly shite fight with not nearly enough punches of note landed

Although I never saw last nights fight, we all know what to expect from Klitschko and I see Wilder being outclassed if I'm being honest.
His power gives him a chance against anyone but it's little more than a punchers chance, for me, as I think there's more than one level between Wlad and Wilder in terms of ability, technique and ring savvy.

Fury, as you say, poses some problems for Wlad. More so if he had Wilders power (but he doesn't). Ulmimately I see Wlad finding a mid round stoppage, as soon as Fury gets too brave.

I'm sure Wlad lost a point vs Povetkin but whether that was for holding,slapping,biting,rabbit punching or suplexing I can't remember?

I don't think the holding was DQ worthy. Wlad did clinch enough to warrant the deduction, but Jennings fell in a lot when he rushed forward and I don't think Wlad was to blame for several of their tangle-ups.

Bar Wilder who else in the heavyweight division who actually tries to stop their opponents early who is top 10 and has speed and firepower ?

I've seen worse from Vladimir, but pretty poor viewing again.

I take Jennings' point about the body shots he landed, but to think he stood a chance of winning on the score cards is far fetched. He was well behined going into the final round and then danced around the ring as if to protect a wide points margin.

I just really hope Tyson Fury rips that title away from Vladimir when his chance arrives.

How do you mean? Jennings was an awkward opponent who didn't let Wlad get into a rhythm. But Wlad did land two or three bombs and Jennings took them very well, way better than Pulev last time out. I think Wlad realised Jennings wasn't going anywhere in a hurry and paced himself to go 12. There was no incentive for Wlad to carry Jennings when he surely wanted to put on a show on his US return after stinking out MSG in 2008?
