So if Ramadan finishes mid July, that means if he started training straight after he would have an 8week camp for a mid sept fight.

Surely that's not out the question, he will keep himself ticking over during Ramadan, footballers who are Muslims have no problem training and playing over Ramadan.

So if he is serious, he would keep fit, not go mental over Ramadan then train hard for 8weeks.

If I knew I had a payday coming in the millions i would be working my balls off regardless.
I think khan bottles it if offered the fight. He is using mayweather to keep current and keep himself fighting feather fisted welterweights rather than fight anyone of note up there.

I'm not disputing that at all. All i was saying that he is one of the few boxers who have been caught doing such a thing.

until khan beats a genuine top welter, there are many ahead of him in the queue. no one should be sanctionning khan vs may until he fights brook.....which he wont do, cos he would get smashed.

If Khan is saying he can't fight mid September because of Ramadan then it's all a moot point anyway.

I doubt Khan would win but he would be a serious threat and it would be a compelling fight. I can't see Floyd taking the fight though.

As far as a possible September showdown with Floyd Mayweather, Khan says he’s available.

I thought he might be the one, but nah - not yet..... Mayweather still has enough in his legs and reactions to nullify Khan.

One one I give a shout at 147 is Keith Thurman.

Following the manner of Floyds win at the weekend the only 2 fights that truly appeal is Thurman or GGG.... and do you know, I'd favour Floyd over BOTH! I think stylistically GGG is tailor made for Floyd. He'll stalk, he'll miss and take Floyd's eye catching pot shots clean.

i think khan problem with ramadam/sept is he cant eat correctly when training, so doesnt go into camp when its on

if it starts june its a none issue for sept

im no muzzy but that's my interpretation

In his defense, after a whole month of fasting (no food or water) and only eating after sunset and before sunrise you'd need a certain amount of time to recover, never mind enter a strenuous training camp. A quick google shows Ramadan starts on 18th June and finishes on 17th July. So to fight in September might be difficult. Then again I don't see why he can't do a modified fast period. It's not like he's super devout. I'm no expert on Islam but pretty sure allegedly getting your wang out on Skype or allegedly committing adultery aren't exactly in line with those beliefs.

Maybe he has finally realised that he has absolutely no bargaining chips for a potential Mayweather fight and that if he actually wants it, he has to agree to terms.

I'd be surprised if he made more than £5m fighting Mayweather. I'm not sure what the ppv figures for Mayweather Pacquiao were in this country but they probably were better than anything Khan has done on ppv. Add in the Hatton fight and Mayweather has done more UK buys than Khan in two ppv appearances.

I actually think this is a fight that is no lose for Khan and providing mayweather wins its a fight that would benefit his legacy greatly. He needs his last fight to be remembered for being exciting by the general public imo.

Khans not well liked and under rated in the UK by many but giving floyd a good fight would increase his stock 10 fold over here.

That's not Floyds style though,as we have just seen last week.
