No, he wouldn't.

When you are stopped you lose your never been stopped image.
Not if you haven't been stopped.

If you are stopped, then you are stopped.

Pulling out with a silly injury excuse is still going to lose him his "never been stopped" label.

Not if you haven't actually been stopped.

Kinda similar to Vitali, both of his defeats were due to injury, they came inside the distance but I wouldn't consider him being stopped

But his record will say 2(2) losses

Pulling out is a stoppage loss.

He will simply not have a never been stopped reputation if he pulls out. End of story. He couldn't be sold like that any more.

"Kingpin" once claimed to have a jab like Larry Holmes or better. Now, he is a defensive survivor. He will take advantage late, if the prospect/opponent is shattered and that is what he will try and do against Joshua - wait and see if Joshua tires.

His real ambition is nil.

Liking someone who is hyped doesn't automatically make you a conformist. Chill out man, they're not all out to get ya.

But he did throw punches and his fights with Charr and Hammer were close.
cold187 wrote:nah look at johnson last 3 defeats and see who they went on to lose to
Charr went on to lose to Povetkin (No. 2 ranked heavyweight in the world) and then was unlucky to not get the decision against Duhaupas (I had it 97-94 Charr).

Hammer & Chisora lost to Fury (the No. 3 ranked heavyweight in the world).

Why did you say that like they went on to lose to journeymen instead of highly ranked world class fighters?

No. I don't like the casual fans he attracts, either. They all seen to assume he's a cert for greatness based on 12 knock over jobs. They must have missed his controversial Olympic wins.

Can get annoying I agree. I'll still back him though. He has the potential to become a massive crossover star and draw more people to the sport. He could be great for British boxing.

I don't think so. I can't see him winning a world title, and if he does, Al Haymon will take him. Eddie doesn't have the power to control the Heavyweight champ.

Do you think Haymon will be around that long?

I think he could be another Harold J. Smith.
