Khan says some daft things (okay a lot of daft things) but in terms of boxing; he's fought a helluva lot of good fighters, in their back yard and is never in a dull fight so deserves respect for his exploits inside the ring at least. In any case, here's a funny interview where he tells a reporter the infamous Roger Mayweather boxing epithet "You don't know sh!t about boxing"

That is not boxing fans though. Unfortunately, there are a loud minority of people in this country who think they can say whatever they like in order to get a reaction from famous folk.

That's indicative of YouTube not boxing fans or British people in general. I'd be surprised if you could find a YouTube video with more than 50 comments that hasn't descended into racist abuse.

Good for Amir. I like this new approach and after his win against Algieri, he needs to call out Floyd in his postfight interview on live tv. He needs to use the public, just like Manny did, to get Floyd to the position to where he HAS to take the fight. Khan doesn't carry the same clout as Manny but he's got to find a way to stir up some controversy in the way Floyd has avoided him. There's proof backing his case. What about the survey Floyd did allowing the "fans" to select his next opponent. The world responded by telling him that they select Khan as the opponent and Floyd totally goes back on his word and doesn't fight him.

If Khan gets the knockout tomorrow night then he has to get loud in that ring after and really get under Floyd's skin.

I think a Floyd/Khan fight is the best one out there for us all. I do think that Floyd wins that fight but I think that Khan's speed will be an interesting factor in the fight and i would love to see how it would shake out. But everyone is fast until they get in with Floyd and have to try to score on that defense.

I really hope Floyd picks Khan but i can't see him passing up Cotto and that Middleweight belt he's got providing he defends it successfully next month.

He's trying to get a fight with the P4P No. 1. He should be fighting Bradley, Marquez, Brook, Thurman or at least Porter or Maidana II.

He is instead fighting the likes of Collazo, Alexander & now Algieri. How does that justify a shot at Mayweather when there are so many more worthy alternatives?

It's cowardly matchmaking and hopefully it doesn't work.

Who else should fight Mayweather? Garcia? With wins over Devon Alexander, Collazo, Judah and Maidana, Khan arguably has a better resume than anyone in and around welterweight bar Garcia, Tim Bradley and Pacquiao. And he's a much bigger name than Bradley and Garcia (despite being stretched by him) IMHO.

Where have i said he shouldn't? I just highlighted that in defending khan for being brave, he named 3 examples of tough fights and 2 that he lost.

You're cherry picking part of the quote. Someone highlighted 3 fighters as examples of tough matchmaking. I responded to those 3 by saying that they are not the best justification for a mayweather fight as he lost to 2 of them.

That's not looking at his whole career and making a case either way. It's pointing out that those 3 don't help.

it doesn't really matter about bravery or getting back up. He got beat. Dimitry Salita was dropped 3 times in the first and stopped by khan. Did we all say well done, go onto bigger and better things brave fella? No.

If (when) khan beats algieri, he should fight someone else rather than waiting in the wings again to try and force the fight with mayweather. Mayweather has options, khan is one of them and therefore he needs to eliminate his competition
