I have no need to blow smoke up anyone's arse but the kev Mitchell piece was one of best things I have read for a while. Not just in BN, but anywhere.

I thought the quigg piece in this months Boxing Monthly was very good - left school at 13, finds the media stuff really tough as he admits he us not the sharpest knife in the drawer, clearly wants frampton etc.

Be interested to read the angle you take with him Danny.

I should probably read that first though I am pretty sure it won't be too similar

Mitchell fought well until he couldn't see anymore. I really did think he would do it, and he did come close. Well done Kevin a massive effort.

Fight of the night for me

Both guys showed courage, skill, and talent, and boxing could do with more of these types of match-ups.

I thought he had him. He must be gutted that he didn't jump all over Linares at that point but he always seemed wary of Linares power.

I don't think Linares was that hurt, he got his senses together pretty quickly, went to get up straight away then realised where he was, dropped down to his knees and took his time.

Kevin boxed well but Linares did seem very strong. It was a real shame, the big bump on his eye ballooned in about 15 seconds. Kevin showed he belongs at that level, it was a good scrap - well done to both men :salut:
